Sounds like it's just naming everyone directly from the clubs allegedly involved. One would like to think Ander hasn't done anything wrong

I get a feeling they've just named everyone that was involved with either club in the match at that time. I hope he wasn't part of any match fixing that may have gone on.

Yeah his statement is quite direct. I doubt seriously he had anything to do with any nefariousness.

Manchester United's Ander Herrera denies role in match-fixing probe that could end in jail term The statement read: "In an on-going legal process involving Real Zaragoza (Spain), the club I was honoured to play from 12 until 22 years of age, there are 41 people cited as possible witnesses, of which I am one. "I have never had and will never have anything to do with manipulating match results. "If I am ever called to testify in any judicial hearing, I’ll be happy to attend, as my conscience is totally clear. "I love football and I believe in fair play, both on and off the pitch." www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/manchester-uniteds-ander-herrera-denies-4821210

Be surprised to find out he had anything to do with it.

Why would people be surprised to find out he had anything to do with it? He now seems a mature, straight footballer but at the time he was probably pretty naïve and it seems a lot of players, staff and directors knew what was going on. So why shouldn't he?

I'm pretty sure he's been cleared of all allegations... I've read he's not playing because he has "timekeeping" issues.

Just don't think LVG is comfortable wih him in the system.
He's started once when we've used 352 and that was Yeovil.

Just don't think LVG is comfortable wih him in the system. He's started once when we've used 352 and that was Yeovil. It looks like he doesn't trust him enough like he trusts Rooney in regards of protection of the back line. Or something. Which is kinda baffling because Herrera possess great stamina and work rate...

Rooney is more physical which is fine in Van Gaal's mind but Herrera could easily replace Mata and he's better defensively, the downside is he does give the ball away a fair bit but that's cause he takes more risks with his passing. He can't even get a start today though so must be more to it, crap in training.. Fuck knows.

I didnt watch the match but I expected Herrera would have start and shocked to read that he hasn't started. If LVG thinks he is not good enough to start Cambridge United, then why we bought him for £28 million
