Merson's team is terrible. Shaw and Jones? No disrespect, they don't merit a spot in that team. Smalling or Rojo would have been better choices for CB, Blind and Kolarov for LB.
I have a sneaky feeling that Di Maria is suited for this type of game despite his poor form.

Any updates on injuries? We know RVP is back. Is Smalling fit to start?

Just seen this over on Bluemoon: Well, this is an exaggeration in the opposite direction than Merson's Pool v Utd combined 11, not to mention Hart on goal!

What's wrong with these people? Is it possible that someone can be that idiotic? It's like they don't have their own eyes and are very biased towards someone or a knee-jerk in it's full power!

What on earth is Kompany doing in that XI?

Base on current form, only Zabaleta , Silva and probably Hart should be in the combined starting XI.
De God has been freaking awesome this season but he was at fault for the Benteke goal last weekend and probably the Sturridge goal against liverpool (got beaten at his near post) as well. I have also been noticing lately that when he's under pressure, his kicking has been awful.

and probably the Sturridge goal against liverpool (got beaten at his near post) That was a small deflection, not entirely de Gea's fault.

Not entirely his fault but he could have done better.
To be completely neutral, fair and not being bias, he has not been that great lately. If you are looking at the season as a whole, he has been the best but not in the last few games. The same has to be said of aguero. Great for city at the start but useless lately. Therefore I have no issues if they put Hart over De gea.
The Shaw, Toure and Kompany inclusions irks me more. Those didn't make any sense.

He also didn't have too much troubles as of late as he had earlier in the season, but that credit goes to our organized and composed play in the last 3 weeks, so maybe yeah, he's been a bit less aware than usually but it still was a deflection and the shot was strong enough for Dave to save it.

If we get a penalty by any chance which is a big possibility if Mangala plays and it seems he will:
who would take it? Rooney makes me nervous...

Why not let Mata take them? He is cool under pressure imo
