Winning trophies has always been overrated, I'm too miserable for celebrating anyway.

Also a quick announcement, anyone who says "we should have kept Welbeck" in the next week will be suspended. But seriously, that was a more entertaining game from us than I've seen probably all season, a shame because I think we deserved a draw, but overall I think we played really well (especially the first half), pressed them high, Fellaini and Rojo pushing people around ... more of that please in the next PL games.

The only thing missing there was a swimming pool. Oddly enough, Young has left his fins at home, but di Maria, Januzaj and Welbeck have made my day complete. Throw the half time subs and Monty bloody Python Oliver in the mix too, the Holy FA Grail is out of reach once again.
I bet I'll have a nightmares with Fellaini kicking me every two seconds and shouting Bart Simpson's "I didn't do it" with that gobbler eyes staring in my poor distressed soul!

Written in the stars Welbeck tonight. I really fucking hate losing matches in that manner, it's like watching your life blood slowly drain out of a main artery, knowing you can't do anything about it.

well there goes our last chance at silverware.
more diving here then at the olympics
still piss poor performance
literally the only players with passable performances where young (ironically enough) rooney and de gea
the summer transfer window is going to be vital. we need a bit of everything one would feel (a RB, a CB or 4, a CM/DM or 2, striker if we don't bring back falcao)

Was annoyed and pissed with the way we sent those gifts their way. At their first goal we were all over the place, Valencia, Smalling and di Maria the main culprits, the second one was just typical us (recall Evans' and Jones' back passes).
We're still just too slow in transition from the back and there are still too much space between players. Long way to go until we look as a team.

Van Gaal saying we gave the game away. Can't disagree with him there, up until their second goal we were putting in one of our better performances for a while. The first half was a great flowing, open cup tie and both sides played their part. The second half was very poor from both sides and in the end the error for the second goal was the difference between the 2 sides.
Reading lots of comments from fans and pundits alike tonight saying Arsenal were much the better side, I really don't know which game they were watching. Very even game that could've gone either way, unfortunately it didn't go ours. I'll forget all about this if we manage to get that top 4 finish!

Herrera was our engine in midfield, our energy in the first half but he was hooked and birthday boy was left inside. Carrick and Blind were too slow for their players in the second half and in hindsight mata would have added the guile we missed with fellaini in. Oh well hopefully we start to play the way we did in the first half really, fair play to Arsenal.
