His logic has given me a headache. How can he say we are not a big team but Arsenal always will be. All they have won in 10 years is 2 FA cups. The mind boggles

Oh well, I'd have liked to have seen him on tour and given a chance to show what he can do but it's hardly important or damaging news.

Probably for the best, not like he's going to be ahead of Wilson, so why stand in his way if someone wants him.

I dont think his style would suit us now. The way we played under fergie he would have been really good but in a possession based system it would be like having hernandez up front.

4.25 mil? Another bargain for other teams. Why are we selling our players so cheaply. Been like this since Beckham and Stam later on... The only player that was sold at the correct/market value I think was Ronaldo.
We are under quoting our players again.

Take what you can get when you want rid of a player, who else would pay much more for an inconsistent 28 year old on his wages. I thought some Italian side might have come in for him and offered a little more, but alas. Moyes should have been stopped.

Fenerbahce fans are already treating him like a god, so I'm happy for him. A few more million would have been nice considering the season he had, but you take what you can get.

We are under quoting our players again. the major reason we sold him for that price is because of that ridiculous contract he got a few years ago (thanks to good ol' moyesey) he was getting paid over 100k i do believe, if he was on what he should have been (roughly 60-70k) he would have gotten a much higher fee. This was clearly to get rid of his salary

yea. I think we are clearing his salary. easily 24 mil saved. .. but surely he's worth more than Ricky Lambert. If Chelsea is able to get 10mil for Cech and over 40mil for Luiz I think nani should be around the 7 - 10 mil mark as well. He's only 28 as well.

Only if someone is willing to pay, if not you're out of luck.
28 is old for a winger, you don't gain speed at that age, you lose it, and it can drop off very quickly indeed, sometimes overnight.

No issue with the price for players such as Nani. What does it matter if we got an extra £2/3million for him? It's peanuts to us and pretty irrelevant, as Edwood says it's best to just get rid and not worry about whether we get market value.

I agree to an extent, but it is a bit annoying that we are so shit at selling players. There haven't been many cases in recent memory where we got market value or a player.

So Nani's gone, about time but still good luck to him.
Don't know why people are getting there knickers in a twist over Henriquez he's hardly kicked a ball for us. Done well In Croatia but the PL is a different ball game, he seems happy and again good luck to him, it's a good move.
Rafa, Evans and Chicha the next to part ways.
