I can't say I have seen much of Firmino live, but he does look like an interesting player. I just fear he is going to be one of those I-always-dreamt-of-playing-for-Madrid type of player.
Usually it doesn't bother me that much, but it's obvious LVG is rebuilding a team, buying players who are rather young and will get time to grow together: Herrera, Blind, Shaw, Rojo, Firmino?, ... all young an not yet in their prime. With the Scholes, Giggs, Rio, Vidic, Fletcher etc. all out, and Carrick nearing the end, I think it is very important to build another "dynasty" with a core of players who will be here for the long term, potential until retirement.
I know this is a rather utopic vision, but I don't see long-term success without stability.

Titus Bramble would be brilliant with Lord Heskey anyway not a bad player, but what we need now is a player who is going to be our best CB basically, Stones ain't walking into the starting lineup. Otamendi, Hummels or Varene all do that |
