We've signed Gaitan again  Snjeider now is next, oh, ..and Ronaldo is coming back. We will be linked with Sneijder even when he's 45. Just wanna add that he has regressed over the past couple of years. He was at his peak during his Ajax days imo. A Scholes type of player. Able to shoot and score from far, make intelligent runs and play clever passes. I thought he was pretty average at real and Inter. Not sure why we kept getting linked with him over the years. Why can't we get linked with messi over and over again. I wouldn't mind that even it's just only a pipe dream.  |

i hope we do dig our heels in, de gea himself hasn't really wanted the move himself (sure external pressures are there but until he says he wants the move, we shouldn't go for it unless something ridiculous comes through)

We don't need the money from any would be transfer fee, not enough that we'd let them have the leading role in this situation anyway. If they're going to try and get him for dirt cheap then I'd sooner keep him for another season and lose him for free next summer.
Hopefully not having a top notch keeper has a bad impact on them and they win fuck all next season and realise if they'd forked out closer to his value or offered a tempting makeweight they'd have been closer to winning trophies.
We whisper in Dave's ear that if Madrid really wanted him they'd pay through the nose to get him like they've done with other players, he signs a new deal with us as he feels Madrid don't quite appreciate how good he is.
Madrid are forced to tempt David James out of retirement to be their new keeper. Sorted!

It's a good example of a worthwhile deal, and something you could get your teeth into from team LvG/EW's perspective. Personally I don't rate him and neither do others by the looks of it. :lol:

I'd take him but we keep Dave  Benzema gets linked with a move every transfer window, nothing ever happens so expect the same again. |

Benzema is one of my favourite players in the game, I'd love it if he came here.
Still presents the Rooney problem though.

On the plus side He's suited to the BPL and could certainly deal with the defenders and would slot in. Solid enough, he would certainly add more than RVP but he's not your immediate killer impact Van Nistelrooy type player for me.

He's a quality player but with Rooney there who plays up front? Or do we switch to using 2 out and out strikers?
I don't believe the story anyway, we're linked with him every summer.

Exactly, with our level of possession we need an out and out goal machine in the vein of an RVN to finish off the possession and I don't think that Benzema is enough for the job.
