I'm all for getting rid of deadweight, but usually you actually buy players to replace said deadweight rather than doing the bare minimum (yes we brought in Maguire, AWB and James).
We better be spending this money in january for some good signings as well (like bring in a striker and CB and a Herrera replacement).

Bit of surprise to let our most experienced CB go but he's been out of favour this season and is behind three others at least. Shows the faith we have in Tuanzebe, don't think it will be long until he's Maguires partner tbh. Smalling will want to play so best of luck

Would of sent packing Jones, Bailly and Rojo well before Smalling. Yes he panics when he gets the ball but so do the rest of them. Wouldn't mind seeing Smalling and Maquire try to form a partnership before offloading him. (if reports are true) Lindelof is a wreck playing RCB and Axel has yet to fully convince me. So many CBs and so little talent.

So many CBs and so little talent. Till january its acceptable i guess that Lindelof and Maguire start, not ideal but we could feasibly be a top 4 side. In january though we must buy a CB (even if its a short term stop-gap like Alderweireld).

MATTEO DARMIAN is set to join Parma in a £1.4million deal as the Manchester United flop follows Chris Smalling, Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku to Italy.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had revealed he planned to get rid of Darmian, 29, before the end of the European transfer window.

1.4 for Darmian?? Chump change when you look at some of the prices other clubs are getting for deadwood. Hearing reports coming out that Inter haven't paid anywhere near the 75m United are claiming. Suppose it doesn't matter. The important thing is players are being shifted on. We all know Ed doesn't have the first clue in the transfer market. Happy enough players are finally leaving.

Just reading about our players whose contracts run out at the end of the season. De Gea, Matic, Bailly, Grant, Fosu_mensah and Young. Any club worth it's salt would of got rid of Young last season, I'm sure some mug would of paid 3 or 4m for him. It's been obvious for a couple of seasons Fosu Mensah wasn't going to make it and I think we could of got 5m for him. Grant probably get piss all for him but could of got him off the wage bill. The 3 worth the most probably could be sold for over 100m but now could run down their contracts and leave for nothing next summer. Not really trying to make a point but our club really does need to change its transfer policy which has been at its best diabolical ever since SAF retired and even before the great man left.

Unfortunately, if the owners gave a remote fuck about such things you'd have a point, but they don't. Sick owners, sick club.

This one is looking increasingly likely.
