Mandzukic would be interesting for a year or two, would prefer for us to look elsewhere for a striker but i certainly get it since Rashford should be ready soon enough to be our star striker.

Great news to start the weekend now bring Bruno in, get rid of Rom bring in Dybala because he wants to come and not because we pay the most (grave doubts about that myself but hey, got to remain a little optimistic) and then I'm off to the supermarket to stock up on kleenex. Maquire /lindelof the obvious starters. Think Lindelof will up his game a lot playing alongside Maquire instead of trying to cover up the deficiencies of our other donkies of CBs. Happier than I was this morning that for sure.

Depends where you look talksport.com/football/581670/paulo-dybala-manchester-united-juventus-ole-gunnar-solskjaer-mario-mandzukic/Changed my mind from a few hours ago  Going off Dybala completely. If he came then Bruno would maybe be on the back burner and I'd much prefer Bruno. Mandzukic they can keep even if his price is pretty low. Great player at Bayern, wasn't too bad at Atletico but hasn't exactly set the world alight at Juve. 30 goals in 117 apppearencs for a striker is far from impressive and a 33 year old playing in the Premier for the first time I can't see these numbers increasing. No thanks

He's something comletely different though and he presses the forward line like no other, I think Ole would see him as a Fellaini plan B

Ole has spoken about our strikers lacking experience so I can see that, he’d give us another option, is very hard working and it’s not like he is going to be first choice. I can’t see how Bruno would fit in if we sign Dybala and Mandzukic though unless we play a diamond or five at the back.

I really hope we get away from this plan b. Can't really think of any premier top 6 team that goes for hoofball as a plan b. Tottenham did to some extent with llorente but he's gone now and maybe Giroud but he can actually play a bit of football as well. Thinking about it, what top teams in the world play that way? Maybe Bayern with Lewandowski but he's much more than just a target man. Fotball has evolved so much since Barca started dominating and we have to evolve with it. Way to go now is a high press, move the ball quickly, tight triangles, quick runners to find space and try to walk the ball into the net. Not just go down the wings, cross the ball into the area and hope someone gets on the end of it. If I never see hoofball again then it will be too soon. And thinking about it how many times did plan b actually work with fellaini?

You need options, especially with a predominantly young side running down the same blind allies 'cause they don't know any different yet. He'd be an experienced head and possible counter balance.
Had any of our managers used Fellaini as Moyes used him at Everton when he scored 17 league goals then he'd have been a lot more effective for us and them. But hey-ho, they used him to break things up, slow things down, try to get some control in the middle, and occasionally out of desperation in the last 10-15 mins throw him up front and play hoof ball.
I reckon you get someone like Mandzukic for the right money it's well worth thinking about.
