West Ham v Man Utd (Sunday, 4.15pm, Sky Sports 1 HD)
Home win. I'm not convinced by Man United, I don’t think they're playing well enough, and sooner or later they'll lose again. They beat Leicester last week, had three shots and scored three goals, but I just wouldn't be shocked if West Ham won. Would you? It's a hard place to go. Even though the Hammers were poor at Liverpool last week, I think they have got a really good chance of winning this game.
Van Gaal is a good talker, that's why he's not getting a hard time, and to be fair they're in the top four. That's what they were looking for this season, a bit of stability - but this game is not a foregone conclusion.
PAUL PREDICTS: 2-1 (Sky Bet odds 11/1)

Back four again so Dave? Hopefully with the same freedom to roam as against Cambridge in the cup. A win puts us 3 behind City and yet to play them, ......C'MON!!!!

Have a feeling Fellaini starts again today in an attacking role.

given the west ham lineup and their style of play i think fellaini as a combative attacking mid makes sense

Fellaini should definitely start with his aerial ability and their long-ball game. Would like to see Falcao as well.

We all know Fellaini is no superstar but he can be useful when used to the best of his rather mediocre abilities. Moyes' problem last year was trying to use him as an out and out cm, which he doesn't have the game for. He was always at his best at Everton in attack, causing problems in the opposition defence with his physicality, if you're going to use him, this sort of game in an attacking role is the sort of way you use him.

He'll be handy for defending set-pieces as well, which Big Sam rehearses a lot with his teams.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Fellaini but who do you leave out?

I agree 100% with Jaime that Fellaini shouldn't be used as CM and as we have much better options in attack than him my own Personal opinion is he should be warming the bench. My biggest criticism of VG is instead of concentrating on our own game we are worrying too much about the opposition. Even though I can't stand it, it is understandable given that it would be unacceptable not to qualify for the CL 2 seasons in a row. Not pretty but barely effective is the best I can do to describe us this season. Personally I'd like to see donkies like Fellaini left out with play makers like Mata, Di Maria and Herrera given free reign to take teams apart simply by speed of play. If VG wants to adopt the Barcelona philosophy of possession then he has to adopt their philosophy of attack. Will it come? I hope so but until we make summer signings I feel it's going to be a long hard road to qualify for the CL unless teams like Shity and Arsenil keep shooting themselves in the foot.
