We need defenders. Smalling is gash, I'm not convinced Jones is ever going to live up to his potential, Evans seems incapable of having two good seasons in a row, Rojo looks decent enough but is hardly world class, and McNair and Blackett are young and raw, and probably not good enough long term. I would give my left nut for Howedes and/or Godin.

West Brom in for Darren Fletcher. I'm delighted for him on a personal level if he can find another Premier League club that'll let him play regular. And at the same time I'd be absolutely over the moon if I no longer had to watch him at United, may be harsh but it's the reality.
