Okay I'm not going to say Falcao is always injured so don't buy him, leave the injuries aside. Do we really need Falcao next season? He will cost us more than 40 mil and add his massive wages to that and He will be 29 next season. Even if he gets fit and scores a lot this season (which I think he will), we should think twice before buying him. He is only going to provide us with 2 or 3 good seasons, for that his price tag is so high in my opinion.
Why don't we look at some other alternatives, Even if they are not as good as Falcao because we have Rooney, RVP and Wilson or we should go for some young player with potential who can learn under our current strikers.

I'm not convinced yet. And unless he returns to full fitness and gets in top form, I don't think I will be convinced.
I honestly don't see how we can fit in 3 top strikers like Rooney, RVP, and Falcao on the same team. If one of them has to stay on the bench, like Falcao is right now, while on top wages with only a few years left ahead of him, I really don't think it would be worth the cost.
That opinion could change very quickly though if Falcao starts becoming the beast we were expecting.

Isn't he supposed to be 53 or something? At the start of the season I would of said pay whatever it costs for him but now I'm not sure. RVP is finding his form after a season of being not very good. We all know if Rooney played up top he would get us goals. Wilson may or may not make it but I'd be more willing to give him a chance than pay mega money for Falcao.

Gonna be completely honest: I don't fecking care about the money and how much will anyone cost for a long time already, so, I'll say buy him from that point of view.
From the footballing point of view, undecided yet, considering everything that surrounds him right now, but, looking at aging Robin (and I'm all for him to continue with us as much as he can), Rooney's throwing around positions and roles on the pitch and a big unknown about Wilson, then I say YES, sign him. I do believe that he'll find his old self once he starts kicking and playing regularly.
Final, yes.
PS: I believed in Vidal and he made it and I'm willing to stick with El Tigre in the same way.
Happy new year fellas!

Happy new year fellas! He will score a lot of goals not doubting that. But if we are to replace RVP then we need a young striker. How many good seasons Falcao will give us for that money and wages? We dont need a situation where we have to replace all the strikers. Rooney is 29 and Falcao is 28, similar ages. So we need a young striker imo

We dont need a situation where we have to replace all the strikers. Rooney is 29 and Falcao is 28, similar ages. So we need a young striker imo That's good enough for me and I'd give him 4 years on a top level if he comes close to his pre injury form and that's a full length contract. I'm still not sure why the money is such a big issue, it's not like we're not the biggest money making machine and everything. Falcao is one of the best strikers in the world last couple of seasons, probably top 5 and not wanting him on your team sheet doesn't stand up well with me, of course, like I said, if he at least comes close to his previous form. Plenty of time for some youngster like Wilson to develop and learn, especially from someone like Falcao so I don't see the rush and need for a young striker just yet. We also have Hernandez (I know) but still, who knows what future holds. I'm sure the club will not get themselves in the situation where they need to replace all of strikers at the same time so I don't have that kind of concerns at all. If we're screwed anywhere, it's defence and wings (considering di Maria as a CM), ie pace.

How are we screwed defensively when we've allowed the third fewest goals in the PL?

How are we screwed defensively when we've allowed the third fewest goals in the PL? When you put it that way, then no, but you need to take into consideration big Dave too who saved our arses numerous times, fixing all the blunders in front of him. When you look at their chemistry, injuries, on the ball play, fear of the pressure and hoofing or backpassing to de Gea as a result etc, what would you say, wine and roses for the club like ours? Why we're after CB anyway then?

Based on what we've seen so far I'd save the 40m and put it towards Messi or Bale Still think we'll sign him though.

Why we're after CB anyway then? Who said we are? I've read normal paper rumors... can hardly take any of that as fact. I don't think we're in need of a CB nearly as much as some other people obviously.

Well, I'd be very worried if we aren't. Here's one, just one example: Not to mention games like Everton, Southampton, Arsenal and many others this season.

I threw in the yes vote because without doubt he is one of the best goalscorers in the world at the moment and when fully matchfit will be prolific here too. Why not?

Your proof of us needing a CB in this window is a game in which we shut out the opponent? Really?
