Still not sure why we aren't going after Sanchez. He's premier league proven, is also 28 and is miles better than Ivan Perisic. Agreed, but Arsenal will never sell him to us! Arsenal will sell to a premier league rival if the money is good. They're probably the club least concerned by it (often to their detriment). Look how many times they've let players go to city.

Morata joined Chelses for reportedly £58m plus Boni, fuckindisgraceful from Real if true!
Before the transfer summer started I would have taken Lukaku over Morata all day long. After all the hype of Morata joining us I started likig the idea of Morata up front. Him now joining Chelsea feels strange after initially not wanting him. Just hope we have signed the right player.
From the type of player I probably like Morata's style of play more, being better at passing at his ability to drift out wide also but I just think he hasn't the quality, being never mnore than a bench player. Lukuaku has definately the better scoring record by miles.
Will surely be interesting to see how this season goes on as both will surely be closely monitored by both sets of fans.

Price could get up to 70m. I'm so glad Ed stuck two fingers up and fucked them off.
Morata and Lukaku are so chalk and cheese that either could have worked for us but now we have a definite target man / bully with a clearly defined role - I'm fine with that. We desperately need a 'flat track bully' goal scorer. He's a true Mourinho type player and I think he'll squeeze the pips out of him, the right way.
Beauty of Lukaku is he'll occupy two CBs and the time / space he'll create behind, we've got the players to make the most of it so we should see the goal ratio not only go up but a wider spread of goals coming from midfield. I think Miki / Mata / Pogba / Lingard in particular could thrive.
If we land Verratti it would be a very decent window indeed, with a lot to look forward to.
Although, if Neymar does move to PSG for the quoted fee, wouldn't surprise me if Verratti moves in the other direction.

I'm happy with Lukaku over Morata, but Madrid are full of shit. We offered them like 70 million up front for him. They got greedy and we said no.
we should just tell them to bugger off and not sell De Gea to Real Madrid. If forced we should sell him to Barca if anything.

newest name mentioned is Barkley. Think there is no need for us to sign him. Surely not a bad footballer and being English is always a bonus. If he were cheap due to last year in contract I'd say let's try but Everton want somewhat around 50m.

Apparently a fee hasn't been reached yet for Perisic (ugh, i'm really not impressed at all with this signing, considering what we need which is a secondary scorer who can get 15 goals plus, Perisic isn't anything near that, he's not even that much of an upgrade over Martial ffs). At least that saga is finished, and if we need a winger to track back, he can do it i guess.
I still fail to see where on earth the goals are going to come from apart from Lukaku. Mhki and Perisic will probably get around 10ish each and they're probably 2 and 3 in scoring.
Ideally though, just bloody go for Sanchez and beat PSG to him.
Also Jose is holding crunch talks with Woodward, because Woodward is a useless twat who is incapable of getting signings done (why we don't get rid of the idiot is beyond me, he has only gotten 2 done in Lukaku, which was a good bit of business and Lindelof, who we basically had in january anyway).

I do not under stand why we don't move for Lemar. imo we need an out an winger and he fits all the criteria. He does track back, he provides the assissts, is dangerouus in front of goal himself and has the right age and potential. We will get that striker in Griezmann next summer and with Lukaku, Rashford, Martial and Zlatan we have enough options until then in the centre.
I'd also take Sanchez but better he joins P$G than $hitty.
Does anone believe in that Neymar to PSG rumour? Me not really but could cause a chain reaction that could see Coutinho move to Barca.
With Pereira looking good in pre-season I think that makes it easier to live with just 3 signings. Pereira will rather be a squad player but who knows how he devlops in his first full senior season at United. Maybe, the statement we sign just 3 is only made to show Inter there will no new offer so they better accept what we are willing to pay or remain with an unhappy player. In the end we still sign 4.

Seems like Jose wants Perisic and only Perisic, looks like we are prepared to walk away from it as well but I expect it will drag on towards the end of the window and we will eventually sign him. Think we will definitely get the DM though as we're light in midfield, though again it seems like Jose only wants Matic/Dier which aren't easy deals to do.
Mourinho's moaning about them being difficult well if thats the case we should move on and target someone else, we've done our crucial bit of business and I think the others will get done eventually plus maybe a surprise so not worried just yet.

Yep, I understand the reasonong of EPL proven but there comes a point when it's smarter to take a punt elsewhere, look at Bailly for eg.

I wouldn't let Smalling go without replacement either, considering our defenders are made of glass and one still out till december. Smalling is in some aspects of his game very good but not reliable and overall not that world-class defender we are lacking. If there were an better option, I would let him go.
Why Perisic? We all don't know but what I agree on is that we need a proper winger beating defender to the goal-line, not another playmaker or striker out wide that cuts inside early. Those kind of real wingers have become rare recently and Sanchez for example doesn't fit that description. Lemar on the other hand fits every aspect of it, has the right age. I really can't understand why we are not after him then, when we are searching such a player.
Player: accurate crosses / inaccurate crosses per game
Perisic: 1.1 / 4.6 Lemar: 1.6 / 4.9 Martial: 0.3 / 1.9 Sanchez: 0.4 / 1.3
