I think everyone here made some solid points. There's no right or wrong in this kind of debate. In the end, we just want our club to do well and hopefully we will maintain our current position till the end of the season.
just wondering, will our position/seeding in the CL be affected if we fail to make it to the CL 2 years in a row? I know we will still be in pot 1 if we qualify for next year's CL but 2 years straight...will we drop to pot 2?

I am not sure we will be able to attract big names to our club if we fail again. ... and if we do sack LVG, what will the payout be? I think it's gonna be massive. United will not want to pay compensation to another sacked manager again.Performance wise we are no better compared to last season but with all the players LVG brought in, I don't think the board will just sack a manager after giving him the freedom to spend so lavishly. Therefore I do feel LVG will stay regardless whether or not we qualify for CL next season due to the reasons stated above. However, are we good enough to qualify for the CL the following season under LVG again... that's the question.
Hopefully Marc or someone can enlighten us on the financial bit if we fail to make it to the CL. How much are we losing due to this, etc...

Not being pessimistic here as we are still in 4th place and are in the driving seat for the 4th spot but just wanna know the thoughts of you guys if we fail to maintain our position...
As we know, Ed Woodward already mentioned at the start of the season he expects LVG to guide us back into the Champions league next season. Will it cost LVG his job if he fail to do so? Will Woodward himself be fired/relieved of his duties as chairman of the club? Will we sell our "stars"? Who's gonna leave if we don't make it? What will happen to us financially if we fail to make it to the Champions league 2 years running?

Which team/teams did the best deals you reckon? Dragic to heat was a surprise. He will be a great addition to them. Garnett back to Wolves was a shocker as well. On to the rockets, Prigioni for Canaan for me is 50/50. Prigioni is average/decent back-up for Beverley but I was hoping for dragic (fat chance I know ). We didn't get to see the best of Canaan as well. He has the potential imo. Just under utilized. We know he can shoot...but Mchale doesn't give youngsters the opportunity to develop. i.e Robert Corvington, Troy Daniels and now Canaan. Dmo being the exception. Don't care about Shved. He's just another Tim Ohlbrecht.

Anyone watch Europa tonight, some interesting results. Spurs might be the only team in any trouble after a 1-1 draw at the lane with Fiorentina. Everton won comfotbably 4-1 (not that I'm worried about them) And Liverpool won 1-0 at home to Besiktas with Balotelli coming from the bench again and score the winner, this time from the spot. 2nd legs shall be interesting particularly when Spurs travel to Italy. I'd expect Liverpool to see off Besiktas even though the Turks were close to holding out for a 0-0 tonight. I don't usually pay much heed to this but for the situation with our top 4 rivals. Spurs and Liverpool had fairly decent starting 11's out tonight too Long may they stay in the competition (till they get to the semis and get beaten ) I just hope all the teams in europa get beaten. Imo spurs, liverpool and everton will not be in top 4 this season. Wouldn't want us to miss out on CL just because a team wins the cup.

I think everyone apart from LVG have been saying Herrera should be starting. Probably he doesn't fit well into his system.

The episodes on fortitude are kinda confusing to be honest. The premiere was 2 hours... so that's episode 1 and 2 together..it should be episode 5 this week.

Waiting for ed nygma to go crazy as well. Obviously gonna become The Riddler. Who do you think Jim's spurned lover Jenna will become though? Not sure about her. Should just kill her character off. Find her kind of irritating. Another series I am looking forward to is American Crime Story.

The thing that made Falcao great was he was nearly always first to the ball through shear hunger. Now I don't know if he's been feed too much but that hunger is well and truely gone. As Miroslav has already said, a great player doesn't become shit overnight, so what has happened to him? Legs can't hack it anymore? Hasn't recovered from his injury? Doesn't like English football? Too many prostitutes? Too much fish n chips? Doesn't like the cold and the rain? Can't stand VGs tactics? Love triangle between him, RVP and Fred the red? Not used to the watered down version of our cocaine? I could go on but I think you more or less get my point..... Whatever the reason even though I think as well under a different formation he could become great again I wouldn't like to take the risk of signing him on a full time basis ( if he hasn't already been signed) Is it really worth paying nearly £130m over 5 years on the hope we will make it? Me thinks not. Must be those in bold.
