And I won't back out of saying but I really do reckon Ronaldo is a bulling with that outcome tonight.

Rashford in for Ronaldo Fred starts again ahead of McT Eriksen only fit for the bench Don't say I didn't tell you so. Over to you Fred Bruno and Rashford (who comes in for Ronaldo who will almost certainly come on at some point) Do I really have to say it?? Do I? Hate to say we told ye so. And tonight's display debunks any theory of reliance of a supposed playmaker. Players not playing well don't help the team and need to perform better. It's not rocket science
It has just sparked a reaction from Ronaldo there before the end of the game of him going down the tunnel. Sign of a guy that knows the fire is on him. He needs to adapt. It's not all about him And lastly Rashford needs to improve his finishing or ultimately he won't be considered for a striker's role. It's what strikers do Where I'd have gone wrong tonight is I wouldn't have started Fred. Not on recent performances. It's all we had to go on. He took his chance and now needs to perform consistently This is up there with the Everton performance

And last but not least to the EPL chiefs
An 8.15 kick off is a bit stupid. Just put them alongside the rest of the fixtures in a 7.45/8pm format like all the competitions.

And so far Everton would be the only game we showed promise. And I say that because Everton was always a hard game for us home and away Omonia just sat behind the ball but yet we gave them chances. We've already had a feeling sorry for ourselves performance in that Europa League at home to Socieadad. Newcastle, well it was just defence against attack and may be a catalsyt of painful peformances yet to come. Up to them to go out and prove that not to be the case

Okie dokie let's make a few pointers ahead of this one before the teams and event unfolds
With conservative Conte I wouldn't be expecting a goalfest. He has brought that to them where they are not the Spurs of old and are made simply harder to beat and whatever happens up the other end is bonus. As we know all about "1 nil to the United", 1 goal is enough to win a game
I actually think they are lacking as much as us in the final 3rd but they do have a guy called Harry Kane to bail them out. They can be as toothless as ever they were once you man up and cut out the errors.
Now the main point on us in the final 3rd
We would have played in the last 4 games, Everton, Omonia, Newcastle and tonight Spurs which would be a decent mix of challenges for where this team is trying to go. And so far Everton would be the only game we showed promise.
I'll mention one team having similar problems to us and see how it compares:
Brighton haven't scored in their last 3 league games. They have had something like 30 to 40 shots on goal and as many touches in the opposition area over the course of them games. That is on the back of scoring 5 against Leicester and 3 at Anfield. They've just had a change of manager too
I seriously hope we can offer a better hand than Brighton and Hove Albion than talk of us struggling in the final 3rd. We will have to wait and see (and their fans are a bulling over their finishing)

Yeah and Ooottom has nailed it here for me
Before a team is picked or a ball is kicked tomorrow night, the 3 I'm singling out for drastic improvements are Fred Ronaldo and Bruno. It's pretty much the spine of your attack
Fred, yeah I know is easily replaced with what's available, but boy has he blown whatever chances he had of nailing down a regular spot and being recognised as part of "this"
Re Bruno and Ronaldo; ETH needs to use his man management skills here. Because these don't turn into bad players overnight especially Bruno who you would imagine is going to be here for the long term
Feels like we are playing with a man or 2 less sometimes with these guys. Nulify them you nulify the team, cuz this is what it seems like.
And fuck me if we go total negative on Martial and Rashford for their inconsistencies combined with injury, well, that leaves nowt in our attack
Credit is due however to the "fixes" that have happened in defence barring the heavy thumpings we got.

Re; Omonia
Upped the intensity when injury time arrived and created our best chances both of which came in from the wings
Where we got into great positions but were too pedantic and predictable. Last 5 minutes it was frantic
We are not Real Madrid where we can play sh1t for 90 minutes then get a chance then bang
Last 5 minutes today proved exactly what is lacking

Who's the last out and out striker we've had though???
We going back to as far as Ibra & Falcoa??
Cavani was here but he spent most his time on the bench.
Can't be banging on about creatvitiy if there's nobody to finish.
Too many moving men up there with and count them with me, Ronaldo, Bruno at times, Anthony, Martial and Rashford when they play. Holy fuck that's 5 before we go anywhere

Oh and just to verify my argument even further
I saw City the other evening against Copenhagen when they rested Haaland and they had a similar 0-0 performance against another heroic side.
Trust me they looked toothless without Haaland despite the creation.
And we all know City have a better panel than us
We need an out and out striker. Make no mistake about it

And I said it here on the shoutbox and Scholes agreed after at full time. There was probably half of them saves the keeper would have been expected to make anyway.
Guess what, we're going to play against keepers who are not going to be that lucky when they are properly tested.
We have Socieadad to come and that performance is still fresh in my memory even before last night
Read my lips from this post:
Sociadad don't have to do anything differently in that game to what Omonia did last night or what they did at OT

Following on from last night I'm still not happy overall with performance depsite number of attempts and eventual winner.
Give me the Everton performance 5 days ago any day over last night's efforts. We only lived on the edge against Everton right at the end. Last night for all our dominance we still ended up given these chances.
Look we're gonna have defences and keepers playing games of their lives. Anyone know Brad Friedel???
ETH needn't think he can use the Europa League as an experiment ground.
We also saw some of this stuff against Sociedad in the first game in the group. Now if results don't go our way we'll end up facing one of the Champions League teams coming down to us
Plus, I'm not managerial expert now, but surely if Scott McT was suspended for this weeekend PL game why wasn't he started last night???
