Man United v Wolves 5:30pm Sat 1/2

Poor game like the cup match, both teams prioritising not losing over winning. Two teams that rely heavily on transitions and counter attacks cancelling each other out, Wolves didn’t leave any gaps for us to exploit and we didn’t do anywhere near enough to create any. We restricted them to very little so did pretty well in that regard with Fred being superb in a one man midfield.

Martial was a no show, touch and passing awful, never got into the box or remotely troubled their defenders. Has had his chance now and hasn’t taken it, move him to left until for the foreseeable and put a proper no.9 central.

Bruno did ok on his debut considering the huge move and with one day training, he showed glimpses of what he will bring but wasn’t helped by those around him. I was a bit concerned that he might be too slight for the league but he equipped himself well and looks the part. Once he settles and has better players/improvement around him he’ll be fine.

Point to Wolves isn’t the worst result, no ground lost on Chelsea but meh..

Winter break for us now, recover and get some players back then we go again with a huge game ahead.
