Highlights from the presser Rashford injury updateI can’t tell you now, as I said with Harry a few weeks ago, of course we’re gonna give him the absolute amount of time to find out, we’ll do some more checks and treatment with him today, yesterday was a recovery day, I’m not gonna hold my breath I would probably think he wouldn’t be ready but let’s see. 48 hours, so let’s see. Brandon Williams discipline concern?Does it look like I need to speak to him, I think he’s been absolutely outstanding, every challenge he’s put in front of him he’s tackled head on. He’s only 19 he’s played 10 or 11 starts, but he reminds me so much of the mentality of Gary Neville and I think he’ll enjoy going to Anfield, to put it that way. Any chance United could go as long as Liverpool without a title? That’s what we’re working hard to make sure doesn’t happen and let that be a lesson for us and let that be a lesson to us. We can’t let ourselves go another 24 years without winning the league. I believe in this club, we will get there. Klopp says United 'only defend'I don’t think it’s an accusation, take it as a compliment we’ve defended so well, when the opposition manager is frustrated that’s a good sign our boys have done well, I think we’ve been closest to winning both games so I don’t know what the problem has been. Some good digs at the scousers

United front three have out scored Liverpool'sThe front three they’ve got have been playing together for ages, seasons now, and you can see the rotation movements, understanding and we hope our front three will get that understanding. I think I’ve only started them together once in Premier League, so we’ve got a way to go to get the understanding but they scored four goals in that game. So I believe in ours, gonna add to them, definitely, but in years coming we’ll see lots of them. Liverpool have scored more goals than us outside the front three so not gonna say ours are better or theirs are better. Sunday will be a game by itself. Long-term future of striking optionsWe can see them three, got them on long contracts, and can see them three developing into a very exciting front three. I was here with Ronaldo, Tevez, Rooney that’s what we want as supporters and manager, express yourselves, put the fear to their defenders, but we’ve got Daniel James here as well so I am very excited for it. High hopes for a Greenwood, Martial and Rashford front three

Pressure is on now i think for Woodward to deliver on some non shitty signings.
We better get them in ASAP or you'd have to think he's gone.

We are currently living in the twilight zone, literally, with this club. Woodwood was the chief facilitator and enabler for Glazers to do the leveraged buy out, without him it wouldn't have been possible. Woodwood holds almost $11 million in class A shares, he is cemented in and going nowhere atm. But even if he is jettisoned by the main parasite host he'll still have a background role and influence. Really he just does the Glazer's bidding and they are vulture capitalists who don't give a fuck, and that's about the size of it.

We gave it a good fight, mixed bag performances from players but we had the chances and openings but couldn’t quite find that bit of quality. With all our players fit I think we’d have done them.
Our set pieces defending and attacking are poor, I’m not a fan of zonal marking and why on earth Williams was tasked with VVD I’ve no idea. Conceding from the corner gave us a mountain climb and as I say we just didn’t have enough though Martial should be scoring that.
It’s just where we are at the minute, until the squad improves we’ll have these struggles.

Something was wrong and they are trying to fix it are they not?
It’s taken Liverpool and Klopp five seasons to win the PL and let’s not pretend their owners have been all rosy and recruiting solidly previously.
Keane is right give Ole the time and let him build, everyone’s after a quick fix and at the this club it doesn’t happen just look at our history. Ole has recruited well, his buys have performed well, look at players LVG and Mourinho brought in and then didn’t have a clue what to do with them. We’ve cleared/clearing the dross and problem players, we’re finally getting the best from Rashford and Martial, developing youngsters in Williams, Greenwood, McT who have been bloody fantastic, this is United not trying to be a wannabe Madrid.
I mean look at Fred, he was a complete dud last season and is now one of our top performers. Some players might not and might never be up it but that’s the way it is, even the best managers Klopp/Pep can’t polish turds like Lovren, Moreno, Mangala, Karius, Mendy etc. I don’t know what people are expecting.
Stick with Ole and the recruitment policy, provide him the funds and resources to buy quality players, that’s the only way we’ll improve.

Something was wrong and they are trying to fix it are they not? No, and we'll really see at the end of this window how badly they want to 'fix' the current crisis we're in. If they'd have signed Haaland and Fernandes first week of January that would have shown willingness to change direction and be proactive, shown foresight, vision and an appreciation that they understood the inherent flaws in the squad and want to address such issues. Of course, reality is some what different as usual. KNOWING full well that Rashford was carrying a stress fracture in the back, they decide to pass on Haaland. KNOWING full well they'd sold the main senior striker last window and not replaced him. Fuck shit, all you have to do is keep Haaland for 18 months as your plan B option and you'd get your money back and move on to someone else. KNOWING Pogba wants to leave and you've kept him there against his will AND you'll have to sell him in the Summer irrespective, and that you are already criminally short of experienced quality in midfield - you are then presented with an opportunity to sign just such a player, you then decide, AGAIN, to not want to pay the going rate in a sellers (January) market. I don't think there's a fan out there who doesn't think Haaland and/or Fernandes couldn't have helped in that game yesterday, and probably have tipped the edge, had these parasite scum been proactive. And that's just two players who literally fell into their lap without looking further than the end of their noses.

We’ll see in the summer as January is a notoriously difficult to sign quality players.
We tried to sign Haaland but he didn’t want to come and Raiola was being a cunt as per, even if we did bow to his demands we’re left with a player with a buy out clause setting a precedent for future transfer and contract negotiations which could turn into another huge problem for the club.
By all accounts we’re trying to sign Fernandes but these things take time, unless you just want us to walk in wack 80m or whatever on the table and get fleeced again could like the last few years. Woodward and co wouldn’t be doing their job correctly if they weren’t negotiating.
Pogba talk is pure speculation and has been injured half the season.
Gary’s rant is oddly timed, he wouldn’t be saying this had we not lost and just look back at what he said with Sky in the summer about recruitment, hasn’t half changed his tune now it’s gone tits up with the injuries. Complete hypocrite.

Notoriously difficult my arse. If you're hungry enough and nosey enough you'll find what you need but it's a sellers market.
Haaland, who gives a fuck about the construction of any deal? You treat it as a short term plan B option that gives you an extra body where you need it NOW, you use him till you find something better and get your money back. It's called acting like a big club and being proactive.
Pogba's agent and brother have both said on numerous occasions last season he wants to leave the club, mainly because the club can't deliver the level of success he was promised - can't be any clearer. No club keeps players who don't want to be there, you sell them for what you can get and move on for obvious reasons.
Of course had the club invested in the players to fit around Pogba in the midfield, like Juventus did (and had), he wouldn't have felt so bad about all the weight being on his shoulders, expected to pull a genie out of his arse every 15 minutes whilst on the pitch - but that never happened either.
Had the club demonstrated something different with some clever signings on the pitch that they were serious about challenging you might well be in a position to convince a player like Pogba that's it's worth sticking around. But of course actions speak louder than words.
And there's no point trying to bribe the fucker with Sanchez levels of money because that's what got you in this sorry arse mess in the first place. You've got a player on a kings ransom who doesn't give a fuck and isn't motivated in the slightest.
Gary Neville simply can't believe what he's seeing, particularly this window. Neither can most of football-dom.
The bare minimum these cunts can do now is get Fernandes over the line and even that's nowhere near good enough.

Of course it’s difficult, otherwise every club would be doing the business they wanted but they can’t. In our pomp we did sweet f all in Jan.
We give a fuck, we don’t need players just using us as a stepping stone, we aren’t that type of club, if you develop him right he could be a world beater for years to come but then he fucks off to Liverpool, Citeh or wherever via a 50m release clause, fantastic. That’s not acting like a big club that’s being someone’s bitch which Dortmund are more than welcome to. He also snubbed Juve who are in dire straits right, he chose to go elsewhere.
Pogba himself hasn’t asked to leave or handed in a transfer request and Ole wouldn’t keep him here against his will. You’d think a money grabbing club like us would just cash in, but here we are. Ole wanted to build around him this season but unfortunately he’s been crocked for the majority. Right but our manager was Mourinho who likes buying lumps and partnering him with Fellaini, would they have not fallen out if we had a Kante and Modric...
Gary knew all this in the summer and he was praising it, now Liverpool are pissing the league making his prediction look insane he’s changed his tune. We all knew we were light but Ole was going to get on with it and develop the youth and form a young team to build upon. That’s exactly what he’s doing, it’s gone tits up partially with injuries but that’s part of football. Woodward should have been sacked long before now, where was he then, makes no sense to scrap the rebuild and start again because we lost to the best team in the league.
No major business happens in January, so it shouldn’t come to a great surprise to anybody with what we’re seeing but it’s still open and there’s time to to do business. If we want our top targets in the summer then we can’t overpay and waste more money. Ole has recruited well so far so I trust his judgement, we can’t go off tangent and add random players agents are throwing at us or we’ll be back to square one.

Of course it’s difficult, otherwise every club would be doing the business they wanted but they can’t. In our pomp we did sweet f all in Jan. Actually we've made 15 January signings since the January window was invented in 2004. Evra, Vidic, Saha, Larsson to name a few stand outs. But most clubs are actually reasonably well run and can make do till a longer Summer window. We WERE extremely well run and when we found a better alternative, or strengthen a particular position, Fergie went balls out and got people in. That's proactive, that's doing your job. That's being allowed to do your job for the good of the football team. 'We aren't that type of club' - Listen to yourself, you sound like Hyacinth Bucket. We're in a deep smelly hole with (alleged) means to do something about it - so you fucking well do it. You might not dictate the terms of that particular deal (win some lose some) but so what? You USE him for exactly what YOU want and if YOU sell him after 12 months purely because you think he's ugly and you want to, you do it. You get your money back and get the next (better) deal in. That's proactive not stuck with your finger in your belly button dithering and penny pinching. Pogba himself hasn’t asked to leave or handed in a transfer request and Ole wouldn’t keep him here against his will. That's why you have an agent, and in Paul's case, a mouthy brother. But Paul Pogba himself stated quite clearly in Tokyo it was time to have a new challenge. Those words came from his lips. You’d think a money grabbing club like us would just cash in, but here we are. Funny, I also remember Adidas having to step in and act as peacemaker between the parties because it was in nobodies financial interest to part ways at that point, least of all for Adidas. Ole wanted to build around him this season but unfortunately he’s been crocked for the majority. I want the moon on a silver stick and a magic golden duck that neighs like a horse. GNev has been playing a very political game for a long time on this whole Glazer ownership subject which you can only speculate on - I have a hunch why, along with a lot of others, but that hand wouldn't be revealed till the time came for the Glazers to sell up. It's not just GNev who keeps their powder dry either. I'm actually surprised he broke cover, maybe frustration, who knows. No major business happens in January, so it shouldn’t come to a great surprise to anybody with what we’re seeing but it’s still open and there’s time to to do business. If we want our top targets in the summer then we can’t overpay and waste more money. Evra did along with the others mentioned. Point is they could have signed Haaland and Fernandes first week in January, well in time for the Liverpool game and job would have been done, a nice pick-me-up for everyone. BOOM! squad strengthened just like that. Couple of obvious gaps filled with little to no effort on their part ready for the Summer ins and outs. Fucking NOT. Ole has recruited well so far so I trust his judgement, we can’t go off tangent and add random players agents are throwing at us or we’ll be back to square on Ole has OK'd the 'bleeding obvious' British talent that was already scouted and on the radar. The one target he did have explicit knowledge of, and had worked with before, and wanted, he ultimately got told, NO. Not because Haaland isn't talented enough to take a chance on but because 'the deal wasn't exactly right' for Woodwood. You could go into the whole Woowar / Raiola ego pissing contest thing which is probably the reality behind the decision. But for £18 million as a 12-24 month plan B sticking plaster that they could have easily recouped the money at any point. It was a no-brainer and passed up by the most inept, vision-less, cowardly, brain-dead, myopic, pitiful human alive.

We made about two signings at most in a window, that wouldn’t satisfy most fans today and all those 15 probably cost less put together than one Bruno. We had very little success in the Jan window, they were mostly youngsters and punts. Dong Fangzhou remember him I confess I do like a bit of Mrs Bucket  We just aren’t that type of club though, again you can question that and look to the board and our structure but that’s the way it is. Even this window we’re linked to Bruno at 60m and that young midfielder Soumare for 40m, while there will be young talent out there with similar stats or whatever that cost half that and we can fill more positions. We spent 140m on a RB and CB in the summer, when we could have could signed half a team. Same with Haaland we don’t want to milk him a bit and then just flog him so having clauses and such in the contract is not a good move for us. Raiola has itchy feet, he’s always flirting with other clubs and trying to move his clients about, to be honest I’m not too fussed about Pogba think he was overpriced and has flattered to deceive regardless of the players around him. I just don’t think it’s a certainty that someone will cough up for him but we shall see. Gary just creates a narrative and gives his view when it suits, just very oddly timed for me, watch what he said back in the summer. I’m frustrated too but I don’t see how you can flip your opinion like that halfway through the rebuild, particularly when the recruited players have performed well and the squad looks together. Unless he’s not referring to the team put out against Liverpool?in which case again this should have been said earlier when we had 80m Lukaku and 350k a week Sánchez underperforming, Match getting underway so will finish later
