Enjoyed that. Goals were a bit scruffy but we’ll take it and we were well worth it, like midweek we were quick out of the blocks looking very sharp and being positive and as they say fortune favours the brave. Good performance and responded well when they pulled one back, should have scored more, the only downside was another poor goal conceded with a free header. James in the flesh is unreal and Maguire excellent at marshalling the defence. Fred was good and Williams impressed, such a shame that his chance was saved. Hopefully McT is alright, that lad is a warrior. Ole ole ole  |

Sounded like a proper atmosphere too! Makes all the difference when half your players are functioning at a 7+. Fred and McT, what a difference that makes when Fred puts in a very effective 8.5/9.0. Dan James and Martial both selfless and highly effective, I'd give James a solid 8, Antnee a 9, Rashford an 8 (only 'cause he missed some sitters). Jesse deserves a passing mention here for not being shit when he came on, hopefully does his confidence some good. But the most pleasing were the scrappy goals, we need a shit ton MORE of those, creating opportunities in and around the box and bundling them over the line. They're the life blood of confidence and winning, you go back to Fergie when we scrapped for tight wins. Still more pleasing, and a bit of an acid test, was the response after they scored - we need to maintain this, it's important. Hey, it's only Brighton but they were above us. Baby steps.
