We are playing on the worst plastic pitch... on a Thursday night... and not 8pm. Says it all really.

Happy enough with the forward line but that back 4 of Dalot, Lindelof, Rojo and Williams doesn't fill me with confidence. Happy to see that Rashy is on the bench but that's probably more to do with Ole not wanting him to get any rashy burns. Poor fella

I think Garner can forget about making it at United. The way our CM is and he can't get a game is criminal.

I've got a sneaky feeling he might show up for the Newcastle game. Ole was impressed with his Lincoln performanc, got a special mention when asked.

Not even going to listen to Ole. AZ very good side, bad pitch, injuries and the youth played very well. Bla, Bla Bla. The only positive was Williams but I'm sure once young or Shaw are fit again williams'll be right back at the u23s. Can't even be bothered talking about the game. One of the worst I've seen.

We can't score for shit, we can't buy a goal. It's a problem, and not one Ole created.
Job done on a shit pitch but fuck me that was painful.

Ole signed off on playing with Rashford, Martial and Greenwood. In his own words he didn't want to sign another striker. It's either naivety or stupidity at its best but Ole has to share a large portion of the blame and being tactically clueless he has no plan B.

We’re not creating anything for the strikers which is the same story of the last five years.

And if you go back and listen to the interviews when Lukaku was sold he said himself he was expecting a replacement, he said a fortnight ago that they are 'little bit light up front' - you don't get this job unless you are 'friendly' toward this board, that means you cover for them - you take the money and shut the fuck up.
Only when you leave after a period of time can you start hinting at what went on, like stating basic facts, like 'the board promised x, y and z and I got none of it' and you can't say any more because it affects your contractual pay off. In Maureen's case 20 odd million. Parasite whores bribing whores.
Dave's right we have zero creativity in midfield and we have no adequate balance for what's needed in a top flight midfield. Could Ole improve how we play with what he's got? Probably but now shit's real and results count, performance will come second or third. He just looks like another LVG and Mourinho at the moment with what he;s serving up - but with a degraded squad.

You could stick Kane upfront but he’d be useless with nothing to work with, seven touches in the box tonight it’s pathetic. Rashford was given stick against Arsenal for not taking the chance when played in by Pogba, that’s the only chance he had all game against comedy defenders.
Needs to change something, I couldn’t believe he went with the same system yet again tonight when it’s clearly not working.
Get back to the basics, bodies in the box, ball in the box and then the net will bulge. I can’t believe he can be happy with this.

I 100% agree with this. I know that Ole had little to do with not bringing in a forward but when he said i/we aren't looking to bring in a forward because we want to develop Greenwood right there and then Ole made his bed and now he has to lie in it. Eds happy because he just got 2 of the highest earners off the books, well half with Sanchez and he's made it look like it was Oles choice. The fella is a genius.

You could stick Kane upfront but he’d be useless with nothing to work with The thing with Kane though is if he isn't getting any service he drops back as deep as he needs to go and makes things happen. Rashford doesn't have the brains to do that, Greenwood can't be expected to and Martial when fit is too feckin lazy. Same as at Liverpool. Henderson and Milner are hardly world class but all 3 forwards know how to find space at the exact moment needed making for an easier pass. Our lot are like statues. Pogba is the best player we have but how many times does he have the ball in CM looks up and he has no one to pass it to? You gave a good example of his pass to Rashford. It was one of the very few times one of our forwards made that run and Pogba put it on a plate for him so for me it's not just the lack of quality in CM but also our forwards either don't have the intelligence to make those runs, they're feckin lazy or they're not well trained. Or a a mixture of all 3.
