Actually think we're pretty lucky this year with our youngsters. Can see big futures for Gomes and Garner and probably for greenwood too. Chong I'm still not sure about but he had some nice plays against Leeds so maybe too early to write him off. If Fred can step up in the DM position which I think he can then we have pace through out the team. Definitely need to sort out CB but seeing our new signings and our youth players the future isn't as bad as I thought. Still think Bruno could make the difference for top 4 or Europa league. AWB is a huge signing.

Excited for today, proper little test, can't see us keeping a clean sheet like but should be an open attacking game for both sides.

Can only take positives from the game. Great pressing from the start and no hanging about taking set pieces. Pogba back to his arrogant best with even Martial putting a shift in. If they can keep it up then we won't have much problems making top 4. But What's the chances? Rashford has to go back to basics. Trying too many fancy flicks and long range efforts. It's good he has the confidence but he needs to find a footballing brain. Would of liked to have seen a bit more of Gomes but all in all a very satisfactory performance. Liking what I'm seeing.

AWB is a fucking monster, that is all
..apart from Mason looks an utterly frighning prospect at 17, combined with Chongy and the other kids if they go on and develop / gel, then the future is really bright.

I love AWB I know it’s only pre season but we’re in good shape and looking good, pressing from the front and playing on the front foot. You can see what Ole and co want to implement and the players are buying into it, still improvements to be made but like where we’re heading. The youngsters have been fantastic, full of confidence and drive which is great to see. Exciting season ahead

Do us no harm to get dicked by spuds on Thursday, remind the parasites to pull their finger out.

Enjoyed that one too. Feisty game due to spuds trying to be cunts but our kids werent having any of it. Played well in the first half, loved the pressing and attitude, McT needs praise here, he stood out for me.
James was an absolute constant menace with his speed and persistence and they couldn't handle it, hence them doubling up on him and giving him some punishment. Sissoko should have been sent off. Still they all took it in their stride and gave it back.
Second half changes saw it quieten down and spuds came into it more; Matic is done, gone, KAPUT! and we felt McT's absence. Bailly lasted 5 minutes on the pitch before being stretchered off. Spuds equalised though a fluke goal but Angel sealed it with a lovely individual give-and-go in the box with Mata to get the deserved winner.
Good win, enjoyable match but we need reinforcements if we're going to do anything this season. CB and CM a priority...same as it ever was. Feel bad for Bailly but we really do need Maguire now.

Hopefully the 2 of them will be gone this week so we can at least have a bit of time to bring in other players instead of leaving it till the last day of the deadline. Lukaku I can maybe see why his transfer is taking a bit of time but Darmian??

Apparently Barca are in for Darmian but only as a cover option for Alba and the first, preffered. long term cover / replacement option is Junior Firpo at Betis.

Looking at it during the game it looked a stonewall penalty. Replays showing it was a clear dive. Still not sure about VAR but in these cases it will be more than welcome. Yellow card Juan. Good pass from Pogba though.
