I'm not against the concept or goals of the Rooney rule, but population of the concerned people needs to be taken into account. Some will say that there is not enough minority managers in England, some will say that it's reverse racism, it's just not going to end well round here and in England as well I think. Political correctness mania gone to a new level? The fallout from this could be catastrophic to all sports in this side of the world,.....let the games begin.

I think any type of repetitive trauma like that to the cranial region is going to end up having repercussions. I'm not surprised by those findings whatsoever. It's what we signed up for when we made a conscious decision to play any contact sport really... there's going to be some sort of repetitive stress injury down the line. That's just the way it goes.

To be fair, only a shit coach would place emphasis on how to head a ball when training kids who are under the age of 12. By my age heading a ball should be perfectly fine, but if you were someone dealing with 7-8 year old kids keen on playing football, obviously you should be teaching them how to use their feet effectively.. aspects such as heading can be honed when they are older!

But even when you're older that repetitive stress is never going to be good for you... It's not going to give you a concussion obviously, but the cumulative effect must be taken into consideration.

It should be up to the kid. If that's what makes him/her happy then what's some brain damage later in life?...

Children can't make that decision... hell, I wouldn't trust most parents to make a proper decision about this issue.

Who says anything about proper decision? If it was up to a proper decision than most kids would stay tied up in a cushioned room.
