yea dude. I spend quite a lot when I was in US. Not just me but my friends as well. It's a company sponsored trip anyways so I didn't have to pay for travel and accommodation. We also went to Universal Studios under the VIP pass. burn a hole in my pocket because of that. ... but it's all worth it. To travel all the way to US from Malaysia and being stingy and all that is not the way to go.

It's true you know. I bought like 15 Coach handbags and it was 3x cheaper. By the way Rach, How's Singapore? Hi there, just got back this morning ....... it was a great trip - true mainly work - but I managed to explore the local cuisine and had all kinds of lovely seafood, including chilli crab and then some dim sum which I love . The umbrella came in useful, thanks for the tip - when it rains - it really rains. Stayed in and around the Orchard area, some interesting sights especially at night especially for the men lol Lovely Christmas decorations everywhere. Had one of the best massages ever from a 60 yr old Chinese lady - I truly believe she had metal thumbs and she found knots I didn't even know I had - talk about torture - needed that to face the 13.5 hr flight home Would like to return but this time as a real tourist and have more time to explore Where did you go at night? Orchard tower? Geylang? Yikes!!!! ... The massages in Singapore and Malaysia are not as good if compared to the ones Thailand or in Indonesia (Bali) imo. Yup, I forgot to tell you about the Christmas deco all along Orchard... However, I didn't know they started decorating this early. You guys don't have Dim sum over in Switzerland? No China Town over there? If you are looking for Seafood, hop over the border to Malaysia. It's better over here. Glad you enjoyed your trip. Come on over to Malaysia as well when you visit Singapore the next time!

I wouldn't go near the center Jie. Over rated and over priced. I'd look at somewhere like Bayswater which isn't too far from the center and you'd get a half decent hotel for about £50-60.
