Happy New Year to all!  Lets get 2018 started as we mean to go on.. with a win! Well Goodison is never an easy place to go and Big Sam has got them back on track, still a bit hit and miss going forward but well organised defensively. Given the trouble we’ve had breaking teams down in the past few games it could be another slog. Rooney will be back I’m sure and don’t give Siggy any blummin free kicks, looking at you Rojo.

I ended up loving that, it crackled and we showed up, two quality goals, Pogba imperious on that inside left channel and Messi Lingardinho just loving being alive and being in the groove. Good start to the New Year - happy one to all!

Not seen the match as yet bloody wife wanted to watch her Police saga.
Glad though that the lads saw that I was not happy with their recent efforts, will report bck later when I have viewed the re-run.

Ok that was a little more like it Pogba, Mata and Lingard all played well but we still need to be going forward and less side wards. Also we must remember it was only Everton who are themselves improving under Big Sam. I thought it was most funny when Sam had the ball and Lidelhof ( I think ) almost shyly asked him for the ball so he could take the throw in.

Poor first half but much more like it second half with a great performance.
We upped the tempo, quickened the passing, Shaw got forward a lot more making overlaps and runs inside which helped Pogba to run the show in that inside left channel. Love the way Lingard just drives at the opposition defences and isn’t afraid to take on the shot, others should take note of what he’s doing, once that first goal went in you could see the change in confidence of the players. Pogba was immense and great to see Shaw playing 180 mins across three days.
A important three points, hopefully this win picks everyone up and we get back on track.
