I thought you supported France though? Sacre Bleu ............. That's Blasphemy - I only live in France since a good few years - right next to the Swiss Border. INGERLAND, INGERLAND, INGERLAND - all the way - even if my neighbours (and my two sons born over here) don't really like it

Yeah the red one is not too bad if you don't count the socks. But overall -

No club football to talk about for a week or so. Just wandering with the Euro's just a couple of months away, what is everyone's idea of England's strongest starting 11 for that competition right now? Listening to some muppet pundits saying Wilshire should be in there if he gets back, absolute nonsense considering he's barely kicked a ball all season. Question marks over established England players like Hart, Cahill, Jagielka and even Rooney considering the strength in depth up front. What about Shaw? If he gets back for a couple of games before the season's out, does he go? For me he falls into the Wilshire category and has missed too much of the season to be first choice for this tournament. I'd be going with this as it stands: Hart Clyne Smalling Stones Bertrand Dier Carrick Alli Vardy Kane Rooney There are only 3 certainties in this side for me and they are Hart in goal, Smalling at centre back and Kane as the #9. The rest of the positions are up for debate. I think Spurs midfield pair of Dier and Alli have been very impressive this season. The experience of Carrick in there would help them massively in my opinion despite his indifferent form for us. Bertrand over Rose as I just think he's a better player and Clyne just edges out Walker as I think he's less prone to make a mistake defensively. Stones is in there because I just don't rate Jagielka and Cahill hasn't been great all season.
The attack was the most difficult area to sort out because I feel we have to try and fit all 3 of those guys in the side and this is the best way to do it for me. Rooney will work hard on the left and like his impact for us I just think you have to have him in there because he's one of very few driving forces in the England squad just like ours. Vardy is more than capable of playing out wide and is one of few players who have genuine pace.

I'd like to see what the in form players can do for the friendlies, see how the Spurs combo's work for us.
On Sat something like: Butland, Walker, Smalling, Stones, Bertrand, Dier, Drinkwater, Alli, Barkley, Kane, Vardy. 442 diamond
Or
Butland, Walker, Smalling, Stones, Bertrand, Dier, Alli, Barkley, Welbeck, Kane, Vardy. 433/4231
But you just know we'll see Cahill, Milner, Henderson and the like.
As for the Euro's I agree that players who haven't featured this season shouldn't go, Wilshere hasn't done anything of note for us anyway. Unfortunately as you say that means the likes of Shaw will miss out but he'll go to plenty of tournaments.
Smalling should be a certain starter, how pundits pick Cahill, Stones or Jagielka over him I don't know, as for his partner I'm not sure either, Stones isn't having a great season but his passing ability will be useful and I want to see them together in what could be a future United pairing. The other certain starter should be Kane, top striker, in top form and done very well for England.
Hart is a tosser and Butlands been a better keeper than him this season so I'd prefer him but it'll probably be Hart.
Midfield we've got some great young talent, they should go, see how Drinky fares and take Carrick. Attacking options are up for grabs Walcott, Ox flatter to deceive, neither can hold a place for Arsenal, Sturridge/Welbeck haven't played a great deal of football either, Sterling is a bit too arty farty for me. We should be looking at Antonio and if Lingard keeps up his form him too.
Say what you like about Rooney and his form this season but he's done more for England than these lot combined, if he's fit he'll start anyway I'm sure. Hasn't Vardy been playing from the left under Woy? So from your team I'd swap him and Roo around, Butland in for Hart for me, Barkley maybe over Alli.

Cahill is probably the next senior player after Roo and Hart so that I can understand.
Henderson meh and I don't see the point in Lallana, we already know what he can do.. not a lot. Would have liked to have seen Vardy against some proper opposition, plus his pace would cause problems against their CB's.

No start for Vardy is ridiculous. It's not an important game so he could've tried any formation to fit both him and Kane in.
