Julianne Moore, Amy Adams, Eddie Redmayne and Michael Keaton all won at the Globes. Boyhood got Best motion picture-drama and best director, so that movie certainly looks strong for Best Picture at the Oscars.

I'm saving Birdman for when I'm bored, but American Sniper and The Theory Of Everything are both super shows. Julianne Moore deserves the best actress award for Still Alice, a very moving show and great acting.

Boyhood.... a movie that has now been established as one of my five favourite movies ever. It is simply fantastic. I understand that some may find it somewhat drab and dull, but in all honesty it really captivated me from start to finish. A very realistic, yet harrowing plot that truly encompasses what life is all about, not simply about a boy growing up to be a young man. Many issues such as divorce, marriage, alcoholism etc. are touched upon in Boyhood. I am now truly in love with this movie.

Watched Whiplash and Foxcatcher - both of them on very specific subjects so it takes a bit of the excitement if you don't know much about drummers/wrestling. Or at least you'll enjoy it more if you do. I didn't like Foxcatcher. Whiplash was a good watch, but I wouldn't watch it again

The Frozen Ground is worth a watch. Good thriller and true story about Robert Hansen, a serial killer in Alaska.
