We're back in action!  Looking forward to this, Lukaku's OT debut among others and the Little Pea back in the league. Let's kick this off with a win.

Can't believe we're here already, but here we are  Fancy a nice steady solid 2-0er. Except i think they'll nick one, so 2-1 / 3-1. Not arsed provided I signs of improvement over last season. |

Much much better than most games of the pos Fergie era. That was agrressive and played with great determination. Finally we pressed the opponent earlier, at least occasionally. This lead to our first goal, winning the ball back early gives our attacking players the room they need. Much more courageous from Mourinho than you usually expect and there's the reward. Keep that up now!

Its what you want from the start of the season. Couldn't ask for a better start, if i'm a hammers fan i'm worried though, that was not a good start (they rolled over).
Glad to see Mourinho had some balls and went for an attacking lineup, we need to play like this against everyone. We have the quality to do well (i mean we probably won't win the prem but we should be a 3rd placed team or around there as it stands).

Only a hat trick for Lukaku would have made it better, for the first match of the season you can't ask for anymore really. One of our best and most enjoyable games for a while for me, not only in terms of performance but it was pure entertainment with the players really enjoying themselves, power, pace, flicks, tricks it had everything. Excellent debuts from Lukaku and Matic, Pogba was also very good alongside him, back five excellent, Rashford caused problems, Mata/Micky were cute and clever and a great cameo from Martial. Last season this is the type of match we drew but the new signings gave us another dimension and even when we were 2-0 up in cruise control we didn't sit back, we hunted for more goals. Early days but the signs are looking good, same again next weekend lads. Been a while since the likes of Sky and MOTD have been gushing over us, music to my ears |

our midfield was frightening and it is almost the first time since Scholes retired that this can be said in a postive sense for us. Completely bossed it
