Back to Europe tomorrow. I'd like to see us go unchanged from the weekend, Mourinho has pretty much confirmed in today's presser that it will be the same back four. Not sure what to expect from St Etienne but with being at home and in the form we're in we should win.

Valencia - Bailly - Smalling - Blind
Herrera - Pogba
Mata - Micky - Martial
Ibra
Jose has also confirmed that Rooney, Jones and Carrick are out and Shaw will play no part. Wish he'd quit whinging about the fixtures though as we have the squad to cope with all four competitions. |

Match day!!!
I'm weirdly excited about this one, maybe because of the Pogba vs Pogba action but also genuinely loving all European competitions. I read an interview with Scholesy talking about how important the Europa league could turn out to be considering the strong competition in the Premier league and I couldn't agree more .
Going with Dave's team as well, I don't know much about St Etienne but apparently they are fifth at the moment and have one of the strongest defenses after PSG which is impressive and we should be cautious so we don't get some of that Barca/Arsenal action :lol:

Shaky start and ending to the first half. They had chances either side of Ibra's first goal and we were poor not to build on it especially after our good fortune from it.
2nd half was a different story altogether and the total opposite of the first half. Could have won by more on the basis of that 2nd 45.
Makes it a comfortable scenario going to France next week ahead of the EFL cup final

Good night, the away fans were brilliant apart from managing to smuggle in about 50 flares :lol: Played ok first half taking the early lead but then dropped off, with a lack of urgency and movement to get the second, they played some neat stuff and caused one or two problems towards the end of the half. Second half started off well again but then we started to drift until Rashford came on and made that second goal. Didn't give them a sniff second half so a comfortable night overall. Hat trick for Ibra, good lead to take to France and no away goals to worry about, happy days  |

After watching the highlights we were pretty lucky with the set pieces, first free kick looked like a dive and the penalty was pretty soft. Still it's about time we had some luck with officials  |

Bizarre game, but Jose kinda nailed it in the post match, I'll take a bizarre three niler any day though. Sets us up nicely for resting a few before LC final.

I'm still annoyed with people moaning that we weren't good enough. We were lucky, sure, but at the end of the day we were the better team and we won 3-0
How did they smuggle flares at OT though?
