Jie I don't know if you should watch it tomorrow - as frustrating a match as you will ever see

We should have pasted them and been 3.0 up already at HT - I honestly can't blame Jose ..... the players on the pitch had all the cards in hand to walk away with this
but they didn't produce.

Maybe he should've left Mata on ..... instead of Mophead ........ but it seemed like a day we were destined not to score regardless.


Negatives
Poor finishing combined with their goalie - it has be said he had a blinder typically against us , Zlatan in general, Clatters  (finger)
Red card for Jose and  Ander (second yellow was harsh IMO he slipped basically) Pogba again disappointing and wasteful at times on top stupid fouls (Zlat as well)
Riding the wave after the City win was just a damp firework
Letting the pressure on them slip in the first half
Taking Mata off - WTF
The Burnley noise in the stadium
It was Burnley FFS - 2 points lost
Fellaini typically a cart horse when he came on and wasteful with the ball.
We were unlucky - not an excuse but today we were truely jinxed in front of goal
City, Pool and Arse all take 3 points today

Positives
Defence held up DDG nothing to do hardly Darmian, Rojo Blind and Shaw did a job
Shaw particularly better for me - Rojo managed ...... once again
Second half full on we gave them pressure Even with 10 men you felt we had victory in our grasp - some lovely moves - just couldn't finish - but they never stopped trying to get that goal
Zlatan, Mata, Rooney, Lingard all could've scored - post, bar and inaccuracy
Pogba still had some wonder passes and link up play
Thank God Burnley didn't sneak a winner


Underlying issues

Dressing room
Can't yet be settled down big egos coming in there Zlat, Pogback, - Rooney seems totally back in the shadows (not taking penos when close to record goals etc)
Schweini banished , Zlatan being shite at the moment  must be like a bear with a sore head - he needs dropping - Jose grow some please
New backroom staff....breaking the shackles LVG built in them .....adapting to new teammates ...... again
Herrera is clearly thriving on the new regime - Tony V & Lingard & Shaw seem to being progressing  as well

Defense
Again injury struck............ Bailly, Tony V, Smalling............ same old, same old - stability is as ever elusive

Expectations
Yes we've had three rough seasons, yes we want the glory days back but with an ever changing squad it's unrealistic to expect Jose to accomplish in 4 months
what LVG couldn't in two full seasons


Felt we missed Tony V today - passion, will to win, sheer drive.......Darmian did a job but just that tone under
Rashford is a workhorse but is only turning 19 next week ........ not enough presence with him and he can't carry the team.


I think the link up play we show going forward (even today) is light years ahead of the LVG style and it will click
....patience yes we've heard it before ..... but I think it's still true.

Jose quit complaining and look within - our problems start and can be solved at home - and once and for all where the FCuK is Micky ?

You just have to figure it's a long season and teams will take points off each other and most will dip in form for periods throughout. If he can get this lot to gel then there's a good side here (especially if he taps into the youth and has the balls to throw them in). I don't agree with a lot of his selections or tactics so far, but then again he's not exactly happy or settled in his personal life yet which is bound to have an adverse effect on him.

Hard not to be frustrated obviously, but I actually think that we're improving. Yersterday was good in every aspect except for our finishing. Part of our poor finishing was down to Burnley's resilience, especially their GK's, but the other part was down to us not having that very resilience in the striking area. Zlatan is an exceptionally talented player, but Yesterday I would have traded him for our former Little Pea who I am sure would have found the net if he had had Zlatan's chances.

That imo is still the major issue we have with this team. We have spent millions on so many players over the last three seasons, yet without building a strong core, and identity, a true team spirit. So many players have come and gone, we have had 3 managers... This team is crying for stability, for cohesion , determination and spirit. Today, despite another frustrating outcome, I've actually enjoyed the game very much. Everything you could wish for, we did it. We only failed to score that one goal because Zlatan is never going to surpass himself for the team, never going to go those extra miles to win you the game like Little Pea would have done.

What should change ? Nothing should change. We should simply show some patience, let the boys grow together and mostly stop buying those selfish big-name players anymore. When I look at all the players we have let go I can't help but laugh at our current conditions sometimes. Yes, Cleverley, Welbeck, Chicharito, Rafael, Drinkwater, Keane, and so many more were perhaps never going to become top players, but they had that United DNA and that spirit we're now lacking. So it's quite of a funny situation we're in: full of talent everywhere (on paper we look like the best and most complete team in the League) but with no cohesion and identity yet.

Nothing but time and patience will solve this. But as I've said already, I believe we're on the right track. I've seen more progress in 4 months with Mou than in 3 years with Moyes & LVG. This season will be too soon for major honours, get over it
