that will be interesting. www.afcasiancup.com/tournament-standings/en/thing about south korea is that they won both matches 1-0 so they will have to improve, hopefully that game is a full house. i only came recently so hopefully i can get some tickets for that match either way this is a match to determine first and second. can see it staying like this though (just going to add this, not enough east asian teams, cause teams like kuwait have no business being here)

So far, The Aussies, Koreans, China, UAE and Iran are through. Japan playing Iraq and Palestine playing Jordan today; Jordan have got to win to keep their chances alive, although Japan look all but certain to win. I fancy either Japan or Australia for the win this year.

not happy with our display tbh, even without a full strength squad as our starting XI it wasn't good
if we want to win we need to be a lot better then that

South Korea 2-0 Uzbekistan
Uzbeks incredibly unlucky, South Korea need a big wake up call or they're going home next round, Iran won't be playing, had this been any other game i think Uzbekistan would have gone through.
Crowd: 23 381 (thats the stuff, well done melbourne)
Australia 2-0 China
We played very well, so did China also, but our passing game was immaculate, only thing i can say is that at times we were a bit too vulnerable in defense and weren't tracking back as well as we should have, but we kept playing the whole way throughout the 90, as did China for that matter, biggest worry for me is whether this would be enough to beat Japan, Japan have found form again and if we are anything but our best, we will lose, simple as that.
Crowd: 46 607 (great crowd, was balanced, fair bit of chinese supporters (buoyed by about 5k free tickets), about 20k chinese and 25k aussie supporters, quiet impressive atmposhere)

South Korea actually won 2-0 mate Not surprising to see you beat China, would have been kind of humiliating if you lost that!

Ange in all honesty should have been sacked in the morning if he had lost that. its china ffs, we are supposed to be in that top 2-3 teams in asia (well top 4 now because of iran)

UAE have beaten Japan, the holders, on penalties!! :O Iraq also beat bitter rivals Iran through penalties too. Considering the final score was 3-3, it must have been a very captivating game.
Now the semi-final lineup is South Korea vs Iraq and Australia vs UAE.... on paper, it looks as though it's an almost certain Korea vs Australia final, but both teams (especially Aussie) cannot take anything for granted. Iraq and UAE are no pushovers (especially UAE)

as for Iraq, like i said before, they're going to be a force in the near future in asian football, so many good young footballers coming up. South Korea have also improved tremendously since getting a new coach, this is the level they should be at (as one of the forces in asian football and one of the teams that can make runs in confed and world cups)

Australia 2-0 UAE
Australia vs South Korea blockbuster at Stadium Australia (ANZ Stadium) this will be big. hopefully we play better than we did in the second half, that was dire
congrats to the UAE, they played some top football, especially in the second half, never gave up and played the full 90 just about
