First Friday night fixture of the season....is what happens when you sell your soul to the TV man. Still, it's Soton at home and a real chance to bag another early doors win. They looked a bit cold the other day and I think we'll do another Bournemouth tbh. Good chance to see Pogba too!

Fr & Mo games are a disgrace! Still looking forward to the first home game. Hope Mkhitaryan starts and we ply just 1 holding mid in a home game. My team: DE GEA TONY MIKE BAILLY SHAW CARRICK MIKI ROONEY HERRERA MARTIAL IBRAHIMOVIC Pogba & Rashford from the bench

Think we'll bring Carrick and Micky in for Herrera and Mata. Pogba to come on from the bench in the 2nd half. United win 2-0 with Zlatan bagging another.

Should be a more open game, selection is a tricky one as Jamie said I think Carrick will come in but Herrera/Fellaini played well the other day. Mata as well deserves to keep his place but it would be nice to see Micky make his first start at OT and settle him in.
Will Jose throw Pogba right in, the way he's spoke of him I think he might but we shall see. At home so attack from the off.

Missed half of the interview watching that hideous JM on his shirt. Why? No need for that.
I'm super excited to see Pogba play, I really hope he gets a fitting welcome back to OT. Also glad to hear that we won't be making any drastic changes to accomodate him (or anyone else by the looks of it). I'm curious to see what line up he'll come up with for tomorrow but I'm thinking
De Gea Valencia Smalling Bailly Shaw Carrick Pogba Mkhitaryan (or Lingard) Rooney Martial Ibrahimovic
But anyway, should be fun. Friday night football!

It's great having the dilemma of trying to pick the team Instead of the team picking itself which it basically has done for a few seasons now. I'm at a bit of a loss though on why every one keeps picking Carrick who has been pretty wank for some time now over Schneiderlin. Fellaini didn't do too bad in his last game either but Schneiderlin has a lot more to offer than him. Schneiderlin and Pogba would be my pick of a midfield 2 all day long. Would like to see Pogba used as a box to box player. The boy has got energy to burn and the skill to go with it.

was looking for Miki to start. Him and Rashford from the bench would be nice but a win is everything that counts and it is the first time in years I am confident!

Wasn't a great performance but just watching the movement of the front 4 gives me a lot of confidence we will keep getting better and better. Forgot what it was like to watch the ball being played forward. Gave them too many chances but once again i see that as just teething problems with Mou being famous for building a strong defense. Happy is a word that springs to mind. The nightmare of the last 3 seasons seems a distant memory now. Long may it continue.

Another efficient display, once we were two goals up it was job done and we saw some nice moments, second half was entertaining.
Pogba had a good debut, showed his strength and power in midfield, carried the ball forward brilliantly too. Would like to see us dominating a bit more, control the game on the ball better but other than that it was a pretty comfortable night. Lots of positives to build on.

Good, solid display, very much like the first game. Pogba, Fellaini, Zlatan, Mata, the defence all excellent. People will keep criticising Fellaini and Jose's decision to play him but he's barely put a foot wrong this season. Thought him and Pogba completely dominated them physically in the centre of the park.
They didn't create anything despite their superior possession which is a testament to how we defended as a team. Very comfortable night for DDG.
We're visibly better going forward already. Passing is slicker and we're moving the ball forward quicker and not always along the ground which I don't mind at all.
So many reasons to be optimistic!

We've got all the pieces of the puzzle, all we need now is to arrange them properly. Pogba showed today why he was bought - a shame he wasn't able to score, but I'm sure his time will come. And Zlatan - what a game changer he is! Not to get too cocky but we're going for the title and everybody knows it. I gotta say, I loved Van Gaal's control, precision and compactness but I like goals more

I feel entertained by United after a long time. Love the directness and having a physical presence in the box.
Lot of positives from that game, also I think its only going to get better.
