I think all the big clubs have been utter wank this season tbh. Leicester, bless 'em, hit a purple patch of consistency and have run with it and gone from strength to strength in confidence and nurtured a team spirit above and beyond, and accomplished a minor miracle. But fuck me they were up against some spineless shit this year from the so called big guns.

 I basically said that , that it doesn't say much about us. I don't give a fuck about the rest. Title was there for the taking for us too especially after going out of the UCL early.

Make up of our side isn't old enough in the head to get the consistency together to do that. HOWEVER, had Schweinsteiger stayed fully fit and played a pivotal captains role and influence then it might have looked a bit different - but there's a reason Bayern let him go.

We had a great blend of youth and experience, the youth also happened to have the right character, not a Ravel amongst them. This crop of kids we've got now coming through stand a good chance by the looks of it. Which is why it's important who the next manager is

Most of the youngsters got in because of the injuries and never looked like getting a sniff in place of the many fit under performers there were on the pitch. If they're good enough, they're good enough. Manager shouldn't make any difference in that case

They need the manager to use them properly and at the right time and have the ability to judge that. 18 year olds are inconsistent performers by nature, doesn't mean they should be farmed out or never given an opportunity in the first team (Mourinho at Chelsea).
Look no further than the Fergie template we used in the past, if a manager ain't capable of doing that then he shouldn't be in charge here for me. Which is why I'd rather have VG than Mourinho on that score.

This isn't a Jose v van Gaal argument not sure what that's about.
If you're saying van Gaal and youngsters is somehow the big issue and is something of a good thing, well you're having a laugh. The objective is getting us back to the top and if that is with the youngsters so be it. Several times during the season the team was crying out for a spark, something different and van gaal never budged until his hand was finally forced in a big way with injuries. Only football professors with their rule books can defend van gaal on that. One minute he complains about the injuries yet claim credit for youngsters when the path was more or less cleared for him.
If anything the youngsters played with a devil may care attitude and threw whatever his philosophy is in the bin. They honestly were never going to do any worse than the starting seniors.

I didn't say it was, personally I'd rather have Pochettino over both of them. And I hope Fergie's lunch date went well.
Mainly because he's got the best balancing act going I've seen out of all the managers.
But back to VG, he didn't have to play the amount he did in the way he did, but he did and it paid off for him. You'd expect any manager to blow their own horn when their back is against the wall, I never had a problem with that. The kids played with pace and youthful vigour, did as they were told (Rashford , stay within the width of the goal) and the whole atmosphere of the club changed. They don't call him lucky Louis for nothing.
I don't think he'll be lucky enough to escape the axe though but who the fuck knows with Glazer-ward.

Yeah Louis wouldn't be shy or risk averse. That's why i wonder why he hadn't the courage early in the season to drop an out of sorts Rooney when it appeared obvious to the rest of the world apart from him. Louis van Gaal is a spoofer and yes lucky. He said 3 months when he came in  it's 2 years now. He's grossly under estimated the challenge of English football and there's not a lot he can do in 12 months that he hasn't achieved in almost 2 years

Same old unacceptable shit. No leader, no one to take responsibility, a philosophy that goes nowhere because deprived of passion and character. I am sick, absolutely sick of watching LVG manage a soulless United.
I think we were more worthy of the top-4 than City, only because of our results against the better sides. But let's be honest we are not worthy of CL football. We have fallen so far behind it's incredible and totally unacceptable. We have splashed millions yet have had no one able to get the best out of our players... We're indeed replicating Liverpool's rough patch of a few years ago, and just like them, we will only come back once that incapable board stop fooling around and appoint a quality manager. That's all we need and lack: a leader.
I don't know who that leader will be, but LVG ain't that man for sure. He must go as soon as the whistle is blown against Palace at wembley, regardless of the result.
Give us back Manchester United, please.

Almost 24h later and I'm still pissed off about last night. And the entire season. To hell with all of these spineless twats, starting with Van Gaal. We've said it before and I'll say it again - I'd gladly take a loss but a loss that we fought for. The kind of losses we had under Ferguson when we gave it our all and we came second for whatever reason. And after the game there will be no excuses, no talking about us being "still in business" - Ferguson would say "we were outmuscled today" and that would end the whole press conference and you know that this team would come back with vengeance in the next match. This team is full of players hesitating to make a move, no desire to fight back, no character and makes it unwatchable. The only consolation I would have here is players like Martial and De Gea who despite the shit we're playing manage to thrive - I really can't wait to see them playing under a different manager who would allow more freedom.

Funnily enough I'm the opposite. They are a bunch of spineless twats but we could all see that game Yesterday. As soon as we heard the roar of the home fans and saw how intense the atmosphere was we should've known this bunch don't have enough between them to stand up to West Ham in that environment.
We're average and have been average all season. We don't deserve top 4 and I'm not letting myself get pissed off about it anymore. Literally the sole reason I want top 4 now is because I can't bare how smug those City and Scouse cunts will be if they're in the champions league and not us.
But maybe that kind of embarrassment is exactly the kick up the arse the club needs.
