Only kinda watched the match but what I saw was more like the United we know. Started kinda nervously but solid defence and all the kids making the difference today. We really are getting horny...

Bless Rashford, honestly the youth is very very good. We should keep playing them if they play like this, Very very impressed with Valera and what he has been able to do at RB, the position is his i think and he should be the new 2nd string RB, even maybe pushing Darmian and giving him a bit of pressure

I even thought Fosu-Mensah did well when he came on. Gave the ball away once, right after I commented how comfortable he looked but other than that he did well. He's as strong as an ox and being Dutch, it's no surprise he's very good technically.

still amazed from yesterday. After that horrible period it's time get some consistency in our performances.
Good to see so much young talent coming through. Is it correct it were debuts #13 #14 under LVG? When all the senior players are back, I hope these youngsters fight them for places. Competition is always good.

just read James Weir became the 23rd under Louis, so James Weir as 14th was just this season. amazing stats. Driven by injuries or not, the way Louis trusts young player is something deserves credit for. He's criticised a lot and rightly so but this development has to be maintained whoever takes over from him. That almost rules out Mourinho.

Be interesting to see what happens if we win a cup and get top 4, and we're doing in the manner of yesterday.

The one thing I will always congratulate LVG for is how he has managed to implement youth. Did injuries force his hand? Perhaps. But still, the way all our young players are performing isn't down to our academy only (although we do seem to have a good generation cmoing up). Despite all his boring football, LVG is excellent at guiding young players. And Louis Van Gaal is excellent at beating big teams. No one can take that away from him. Arsenal just dicovered that, really.
I am not expecting too much from this season if I am honest, although we're only 3 points behind City who still have very complicated games ahead. But if missing out on top-4 because of injuries means we can see more of Varela, Rashford, Fosu-Mensah, etc. or see some players like Memphis finally finding their feet, this could be a blessing in disguise I am willing to accept. Because, as I said before, the real challenge starts next season, when Klopp, Guardiola, Wenger, Conte(?), Pochettino and Mourinho? will have/build teams capable of winning the league and more.
But the best would be to reach the top-4 with the kids. Now that would be the ultimate dream in my books.

What we were forced to learn in recent time is, that any positive sign was soon followed by a new low. Will interesting to see how we do in the next two games. Hope wie look back to this game as the turning point.
