He's featured more than that. This about 5 or 6 isn't it? I think he's a real talent anyway. I always liked what I saw in the u21's before he went on loan to Castilla and he still retains that talent. He has the potential to be the complete full back imo.

He kind of reminds me of Rafa in terms of stature and speed. He's as good going forward as him but I think he's also a little more sensible defensively and that will only improve.

He'll be 23 this year so he's getting to that age where he'll need to make a decision on his future. He's been impressive when he's come in and I like him, quick, technically excellent, bright going forward and has the end product as he showed yesterday, I can see the comparisons with Rafael and like it was with Rafa he can be a little rash at times and it's the defensive side that needs to improve if he wants to stay here.
We'll see how he does over the next few games, Arsenal will be a big challenge against Sanchez but if he keeps on going the way he is and improves defensively then he should be competing with Darmian for that slot next season.

Keeper for me. Can't see why we wouldn't use a Varela / Darmian share going forward. Certainly save a chunk of money for more immediate needy positions.
You forget he was a Fergie spot, it was he who organised it and Moyes gave the nod.
