Yep definitely, I'd like to see some sort of consistency in our team as well, we've been forced into too many changes with injury et all.

I don't really see anything other than a draw tbh, the way we both are playing.

On that note are people in the same mindset as me that a draw in this game would be a good result as was the draw last week. Got a bit of stick from Liverpool fans for celebrating a home draw but the way I see it, I just want to see progress.
I found myself before last weeks game saying I'd even accept a defeat as long as we play well and compete as quite simply we failed to do that against the big sides last season. I think another good competitive display against City no matter the result would be a step in the right direction no matter the result.

Do you think Angel is more useful in the midfield or cutting in from the wing? I'd say he's better centrally. At both Benfica and Real, he was frustrating - at times - on the wing but outstanding when playing centrally.

No. I think a draw in terms of the match would be ok, as of last week, depending on how we play. In respect to league table position though, i'd be slightly disappointed, as this match could bring us within a point of City.

Yeah I mean in terms of a stand alone result, of course we need to start picking up wins to get ourselves in the top 4 and consolidate that position but as a stand alone result a draw away to City is an acceptable result, only if the performance is good though. If it's a terrible 0-0, I'll be disappointed, if both teams are on top form and it's 1-1, 2-2. I'll be satisfied.
I do believe we can beat them though, as I now believe we can beat any team on our day, it's nice to have that feeling once again after the demoralising performances of last season.

I was thinking about something similar earlier - what big of a difference Louis van Gaal and his philosophy makes. A draw under Moyes last year was nowhere near as good as a draw under Van Gaal, main reason being the missing spark and attitude that our players show, but there's also the feeling that we're going in the right direction

I think a draw would be a good result. If we have both Blind and Herrera in form, I think we can pull it off and perhaps get all three points. I expect LVG to take a very tactical approach though so it should be a tight game

I'd be satisfied with a draw but with Silva out and the way they are playing we should be able to get all three. They'll probably turn up though even so I'm expecting LVG to have something up his sleeve.

I'd take a draw, but I really think we can get all three points tomorrow. With Silva out, Toure seemingly not himself and there poor run of form I feel we they're there for the taking.
I cannot bloody wait.

I cannot bloody wait. agree, would take the draw but i think we could win also. we are so potent in attack its insane and we kept chelski of all teams to 1 goal and the city defense is worse so far. so i think we could pull it off (we need the win also)

Any thoughts of how City will line up? I'm quite happy Silva is out, not just because he's class but because City lost to West Ham playing a traditional 4-4-2 while the Hammers went with a diamond. We'll probably go with a diamond now that Roo is back and should out number them in midfield. Pellegrini probably wanted to stick an extra man in midfield in place of Dzeko with Aguero being pushed closer to goal, that probably won't happen now that Silva is out as he would probably have been the most important player for them playing in the hole behind Aguero with Milner coming on to the left. So they'll probably stick with 4-4-2 which could play into our hands if we go with a diamond, out number them in the middle and isolate their strikers, well as far as is possible against City.
Any news on Toure, I presume he'll play which means they'll go with: Hart Zabeleta-Demichelis-Kompany-Clichy Jesus Navas-Toure-Fernando-Milner ----------Aguero-Dzeko-----------
So I'd be pretty confident we could beat that team with the line up allot of you have been saying; same as vs Chelsea but with Herrera and Rooney in place of Januzaj and Mata. Toure has been very poor, Milner, Navas, Dzeko, Clichy are average at this level, Di Maria has the beating of Zabeleta, Demichelis always has a mistake in him, Hart isn't as good as De Gea, Kompany can't do it all by himself and Aguero .... well....lets hope he has a day off
