Very lacklustre
Still , pressure is on now , we seem to respond better when the chips are down

PSV and Wolfsburg now favourites to qualify from the group. Win or it's Europa League for us

Shit, absolute fucking shit. No intent, no creativity, no quality, no speed in our play and seemingly no effort. At times in that second half it was as if they didn't realise this was a pretty important game. The fucking hoofball to Fellaini towards the end was painfully bad to watch.
Lingard was superb in the first half but the chance he missed in the second was disappointing and he's going to have to iron out his finishing. Not too worried yet but he's missing quite a few chances. Rooney non existent, Martial and Memphis ineffective and the midfield which should be so calm and assured seemed anything but, thought Schneiderlin was incredibly sloppy.
Made life very difficult now and I wouldn't be surprised if we go out, need a win in Germany to guarantee qualification (as I think PSV will almost certainly beat CSKA) which is going to be a very tough task indeed.

Feels more like the Watford game, except we didn't get the points. It's getting unwatchable how slow we are moving with or without the ball, lack of creativity but most of all - no one to shoot (apart from straight at the keeper). And you can't blame Martial for it, everyone today was just awful up front. Very disappointing, if we are to compare ourselves to the European clubs this is completely unacceptable football. I don't mind the methodical build up, but if you're not creating anything then it's just a waste of time. Very disappointing, not sure how we're going to get out of this one.

Typical LVG display. Solid defence, initially solid game plan, but no experience upfront to kill the game, and then come poor substitution, we lose our momentum, and fail to score eventually, almost conceding.
I am getting tired of those flat performances. The attacking fluidity is way too poor, the movements are slow, Schmidfield is way too deep and offer way too little contribution in the attacking department. I believe LVG should stop kidding himself and : 1. get a killer or two in January, even if he has to send Depay on loan to gain experience and game time. Martial is 19, Lingard 22 and Depay 21: there is no maturity there, and Rooney is too poor himself to make a difference. We have some serious work to do upfront, and until we do, we will keep seeing those dull performances. 2. Erase that exaggerated cautiousness: it's like we're a machine, with an AI, but no inspiration, no spontaneity, no true creativity.
Wake up Louis!

If VG thinks this is the way the game should be played then he can fuck right off.

Best thing I can take from this is it gives us the incentive to go out and win the game which doesn't just qualify us but wins us the group. It's all in our own hands and historically we've always made life difficult for ourselves in Europe.

Biggest game for Van Gaal yet in Germany in 2 weeks. Now's the time to earn his corn. If we play like we've played in the other group games then we aint winning, simple as that

We have to win. If that isn't an incentive to remove the over-cautiousness from our play I don't know what is.

We've laboured all the way in this group, this game plan and LVG's tactics aren't working. It still is in our hands but given the way we've played in this competition I'm no way near confident, still we have beaten Wolfsburg before and should be able to do again.
The last 10 minutes was hoofball to to Fellaini which didn't work and then he brings on Mata in the last five which is as pointless as it gets. Its been no way near good enough. No desire from the players and management today.

A win tonight would have put us through automatically. Should have been incentive enough with it at home and with a game to spare too

Another vintage performance. This is going to go down as one of the greatest periods in the clubs history. We are so lucky that were here to witness it.

Most frustrating game under LVG so far for me. Has to change something. I still don't have the faintest idea why he's done away with the 4-3-3 from last season. There was a spell of games at the end of the season where I was convinced he'd finally got the system right, we were dominating possession, pressing brilliantly and attacking in great fashion, yet he seems to have completely done away with it despite it being his favoured formation.
