Our first 3 o'clock of the season. We go into this on the back of two good wins, dominant and efficient in front of goal performances. The addition of Martial to the team just seems to have lifted everyone, more pace and excitement so I'm expecting goals this weekend. De Gea, Valencia, Smalling, Blind, Young, Basti, Schneiderlin, Mata, Rooney, Memphis, Martial. With the injury issues I'd keep the back four the same as midweek, all out attack from wide areas with Young and Valencia has allowed Mata to do his stuff without losing an attacking threat. Darmian is a bit more defensive minded and for this game there's no need, I also wouldn't be against Herrera in midfield with Basti. All out attack, let's smash these!

Without wishing to jinx things I think we'll win the league this year.

Man Utd v Sunderland (Saturday, 3pm)
Manchester United are grinding out results in truth, but this is a perfect game for them and should be a walk in the park. They didn't play great at Southampton; the first 30 minutes they were all over the place. But I can't see them not beating Sunderland comfortably. Anthony Martial is raw talent, and people would be lying if they said he hadn't surprised them. I fancy him to score here again.
Sunderland have to be careful what they do with Dick Advocaat, because they made him stay there essentially. Is it the manager, or is it the players?
They haven't recruited very well, but how much of that is down to Advocaat? Their first win could change everything, we've seen that from teams this season already. It changed complexion. But it isn't coming at Old Trafford.
PAUL PREDICTS: 4-0

So Darmian at LB and no Basti to start, Pereira on the bench as you say, kill the game early and get him on.

Well City are 4-1 down at Spurs with 5 mins to go. Not doing bad for a shit, boring side considering we go top if we win today. Don't they normally say the sign of champions is to win whilst not playing that well? This is without Memphis and Rooney turning up in the league so far as well.
Not saying we're going to win the league but how people can claim we're not even contenders is beyond me.
I know we've still got to win today but yeah, watch this space.

United, top of the league! United United, top of the league!
Same old same old, dominant in midfield, solid at the back and still a little off in the final 3rd. Yet we've still won 3-0. Just imagine how good we'll be when the attack fully gets it's shit together.
Good to see Memphis and Rooney get off the mark for the season. But the star again for me, even though he didn't score is Martial. The strength and speed is exactly what we needed in a striker and he showed again today he has it in abundance. He's going to be some player. Was also really impressed with Darmian at left back and Smalling was faultless yet again.

Didn't score a goal today - sell him!
Don't know what more to add - looked like an overall better performance instead of few individual ones that we had in the previous games. Like I said, I'm not a fan of this defensive set up Carrick - Schneiderlin - Rooney, but it worked really well. I imagine Van Gaal was anticipating Sunderland to hit us hard, once they didn't he was free to let Bastian make his mark on the game and allow for a more attacking play. I'm especially glad for Memphis, because he hasn't been doing that well and he needed that goal. Hopefully it will boost his confidence and he'll show what he can do soon.

Top of the league! So can't complain Goals just before and right after half time killed it, second half we saw some great football, United attacking without restrictions and a bit more flow than in previous weeks. Three well worked goals, different scorers with Roo and Memphis getting off the mark so happy days. Martial was brilliant again, unselfish today, strong bringing others into play and he looks so dangerous on the ball. Darmian solid on that left side and Smalling a beast. Wolfsburg and Arsenal to follow, two tough tests but we are looking good.
