Another one is we can't win the league with unless Rooney scores 20+ goals, yet Arsenal can win the league with Giroud who I don't think has hit 20 in his life. I know everyone hates us but come on a little common sense isn't much to ask.

That's whats getting my back up Dave. United's defence isn't good enough to challenge supposedly but these same people claim Arsenal are going to go close who for me have a much worse defence than we do. They need a first choice left back and centre back. We could do with an experienced centre half but other than that out defence is very good, lots of strength in depth. United need another striker incase Rooney gets injured and stuff. But City and Chelsea don't? Falcao and Remy as back up for Costa isn't much better than our options and neither are City's if at all. Then you have Arsenal with Giroud as first choice who is nowhere near the other 3's first choice strikers. Our midfield is as good as anyone elses in the league. Arsenal don't have a decent holding mid and City have a much overrated midfield that is on the decline and what have they done? Signed Delph who is decent but is not going to improve them. I absolutely love this .......

I don't think there is a lot between the squads quality and talent wise, each club has issues and areas for improvement. Chelsea probably have the strongest spine and after last season are rightly favourites. It should be much more of a title race this season, I expect us all to be up there but history tells us Arsenal generally fall short, although they improved against the top team last season they can still be naive. Arsenal I think have Sanchez, Ozil as league winners and Cech will add to that. Chelsea know how to win the league, so do City who yoyo but they tend to be complacent against lower sides. We are winners, our lads have won leagues even the younger players of Jones, Smalling, Blind with Ajax, Basti with Bayern, Pedro with Barca if we get him. Been there and done it plus Louis' won it every country he's been, for Merson to say we will finish below Liverpool in 5th

City played well but I thought West Brom were fucking appalling. Chelsea game will be more informative even at such an early stage in the season.

City looked very good; I actually think they'll beat Chelsea at the weekend. West Brom were absolutely shite. Perhaps a bit naive predicting a game like that just one game into the season.

1-0 to Sevilla, beautiful freekick. Harsh to award it in the first place though.
