Might not play again this season - 6 months is van Gaal's verdict.
Gutted for him.
Edit: scratch that, manutd.com fucked up - van Gaal said he will not be out for six months like first feared. Don't blame me, blame the tits operating United's website.
Blind will have a brace on his knee for a fortnight and will then be scanned and assessed.

It's incredible the amount of games he's had, LVG said after the game he'd give him a two day rest and then it's back to it after being asked about his injury :lol:
He's had an excellent season, arguably been our best centre back and considering it's his first season in that position he's done magnificently. You don't see him whinging about being moved about, he just gets on with it, never sulks or mopes about. Still people won't give him credit as he's too small, slow, weak etc. when he's put that all to bed the right way with stellar displays on the pitch.
Definitely LVG's best signing, an absolute gem.

Absolutey value for money what we got here, a perfect squad player! Gets the job done he is asked to do. I was furious when LVG started making him a first choice CB and I still think there are certainly better CB's in this world and we should sign one. Still the way he handled Lukaku and Agüero is class! He has his weaknesses and made some mistakes here and there but overall he is one of the best performers this season. As expected our CB's are injured more than playing so he was needed anyway in that postion at a certain stage during the season. Would like to see him given another chance in midfield next season.

I don't think anyone considered him for that CB role - I was pretty sure that it was going to be Rojo and if not him - Jones. I was genuinely surprised at the above statistic just because I've kinda gotten used to the idea that Blind is just there - he doesn't have the same powerful or flashy performances like Smalling, but week in week out he does the job so yeah - definitely the unsung hero of the season
