If we get 75m(or Dybala) for lukaku then it's the biggest heist since Torres to chelski. Dybala is probably worth more but if he's only coming because he's no other option he can stay the feck away. At these prices it makes Maquires 80m look like a bargain. Ed can't expect to get 75m for, let's face it, a player who isn't very good and then refuse to pay 75/80m for a player who is. But then again I suppose Ed is used to dealing in double standards.

Ben yedder apparently turning down 12m a year from some Chinese club to stay in Europe. He wouldn't get that any where else so his ambition is greater than the need to fill his pockets. Makes a nice change tbh.

Because we overpaid for Rom doesn't mean other clubs have to. If they can get 65, 68, 70m for him they should snap hands off - of course they won't, but that's what Ole sould be telling them.
I'm torn on Dybala too, If it's a swap deal at least we get some top quality potential back and takes it out the boards hands. But if he doesn't want to be here I'd rather sell to Inter for lesser money and get Ben Yedder who's hungry. Again, you can see Ed and the parasites doing the 5 knuckle shuffle over Dybala because he's a 'name' - just like DiMaria.

Yeah you're right. I should of said the biggest heist since Everton sold lukaku to us for 75m  Still many things to resolve before the window closes. Will Lukaku go? It's definitely on the cards. Who will come in his place? Will Pogba go? Very difficult question. If he goes will SMS come? If pogba stays will SMS come? Will Bruno and/or Maquire be coming? These are all big names being touted about so unless a few deals are already close to completion and with just over a week left of the window Ed certainly has his work cut out for him. Doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.

Ole said that it’s not a United eleven without Pogba and if Dybala comes then I can’t see him wanting to leave, plus will Madrid cough up with Bale and James staying. Still don’t know why Juve want Lukaku but he’s a goalscorer and should do well in Serie A. Dybala is a convenient option but suits what Ole wants from his forwards much more than Lukaku. Bit wary of another Di Maria but he is a snake plus he was in his prime where as Dybala has lost his a way a bit and could do with a new challenge You know it makes sense Paulo, agent already met with us so must be interested.

In my book, in this market, Pogba is worth every bit of 180m, I think 150m is too cheap considering his footballing ability and marketing profile. I think they should keep him for this season, he's streets ahead of anything we have and anything we can buy in at this stage. AND we're still short in midfield even with him.

A lot of rumours are based on SMS coming to United. Not sure if that's based on Pogba leaving or not. What a transfer window it would be if we keep Pogba, sign SMS, sign Bruno and finally Maquire. If that happened I might just start believing that there is a god after all. If Bale had of left Madrid then I could of seen Pogba leaving. I believe James is for sale for 50m but no one seems to want him. Just can't see Madrid being able to afford Pogba in this window. Perez certainly has some balls on him. How to piss off your manager and Bale in one swoop. Think this one will have big repercussions. Pogba perhaps potentially is worth 180m but with his attitude the last 3 years I'd gladly except 150m. It doesn't matter if he's right or wrong. He just can't down tools whenever he feels like it. We're definitely better with him in our team but if he continues with the attitude he can go feck himself.

Sounds like Dybala and Lukaku's deal is close. Honestly he'd be a very good signing despite having a bad season. It would be at least worth a shot because if we get Dybala back at his best he's a top 5 player in the world arguably.

I think our transfer policy has to change. Don't no whether it's true or not but its being reported that the stumbling block with Dybala coming is the wages. He's reportadly asking for over 300k a week which after the season he's had is a bit optimistic. These sort of transfers 200k a week is more than sufficient and if objectives are met like qualifying for the CL and scoring let's say 25 goals a season then maybe next season 300k could be talked about. Once again this is on Eds shoulders. Once he put Martial on 250k a week he's set a precedence. Top players will look at his wage and think well I'm better than him so I want more and as for Sanchez the less said the better even if no transfer money (that we know of) was paid for him. Salah, Kane, Aguero, Hazard at chelski on about 200k a week shows just how wrong our policy is. Ed has a lot to redeem himself for.

I can’t see SMS unless Pogba leaves, him and Pogba together wouldn’t suit the pressing the Ole wants to implement, Bruno would be more suitable but not sure about him either.

If we could only sign one player I'd go for Bruno even before Maquire. We're desperately missing creativity if Pogba goes missing which has been happening a lot of the last 3 seasons. Bruno is a very intelligent player, scores goals, plenty of assists and very hard working. 48 goals, 37 assists in 107 games for a midfielder is almost unheard of. Portuguese player of the year 2 years running. Even if he takes a while like Bernardo silva to get into his stride I'm more than willing to give him it. Think he'll be massive for us. Only thing that worries me is I can't think of one player we've actually improved the last 5 or 6 years. Even worse is a lot of players have stagnated or gotten worse. Hopefully with Ole at the wheel that trend will be a thing of the past.

SSN rolling with a latest 80m offer from us for maguire
if true, and that doesn't do it, then fuck'em.
If I was Maguire I'd be breaking the managers door down.

Thought they were holding out for 80m? Too many stories and trying to decipher what's true and what's not is driving us all crazy. Next year I'm hibernating and won't be opening a sports page until the window closes. Best option for my sanity.

This seems to be a loose consensus as to where that whole deal is..
"Sky Sports frontman Kaveh Solhekol has sent Manchester United Twitter into frenzy this evening by "confirming" that United have lodged a new £80m bid for Harry Maguire.
However, while you can expect this one to get pick up some pace over the next few hours, a 90min source has made clear that the agreement of the £80m figure has been loosely agreed for some time - but the delay in the deal is stemming from the structure of the payments. United were initially offering £55m-£60m up front to Leicester, though they were looking for more. More, being, £70m up front with an additional £10m in add-ons."

Honestly we should move on and try for someone else. I'm sure there are a few clubs that would rip our arm off to sell their CB's for 80 mill that are better than Maguire (Barca with Umtiti being one, Skriniar with Inter possibly, Johnathan Tah, Marquinios from PSG etc). Hell, how much more would a guy like a Varane cost, Real i'm sure would be asking for not more than 100 mill really.
