He's s'posed to be a lot further along than that and a genuine prospect right now, according to not just Fletch but all the Irish scouts, so it makes sense to pick him up early and do an Axel with him. They're still after Koulibaly but in for De Ligt despite him preferring Barca.

I saw the De Ligt stuff. He'd be a fantastic get, i'd offer someone like Rojo to Ajax to perhaps lower the fee so we still can go after other players (namely, Koulibaly and maybe another winger or striker if Lukaku goes).

Honestly i'd just like to see us get some new defenders. If Lukaku and Pogba want to leave that's fine as well, so long as we get the appropriate replacements for them (Miliknovic Savic for Pogba and i guess any world class striker that isn't Icardi).
