We’re active in the transfer window! And it’s a centreback

no matter what happens on deadline day, whether Meesi joins Real or not, this is the best deal that could happen. He's not only gone, we get even money for him!

If it's true they get 10 mil for him then it's an insanely good deal. And God bless that Chinese league.

We're Free, finally we're free of him. Don't even care we didn't sign anyone, just for this deal, its a 10/10 transfer window.

There's so much talk about Sancho to United, haven't seen enough of him. Is he worth the money? 100m seems crazy for a teenager, but i might be wrong! And what about Hudson-Odoi? Seems unhappy at Chelsea, he would be a great fit!

Tricky one with Sancho, we desperately need a real right sided midfielder / winger and Sancho fits the bill and looks the real deal, ideally he should be left at BVB for another year but he'll generate a lot of heat this Summer and we could be forced to act. There are alternatives though, but Sancho would be the obvious fit and profile for the club, and manager. Hudson Odoi, did you notice Ole go straight over to him to have a word after the Chelsea matches? Unfortunately he's predominantly a left sided player, so up against Martial, Sanchez and Pogba to an extent, so unless there's a radical overhaul during the Summer you couldn't really offer him anything different to his current situation. I really like the look of him and think he'll be a star, just not here. Realistically I just don't see the turn over of players needed to get HO in the side. Priority positions are a CB, CDM and a RW, you're looking at well north of 200+ million for the right quality - unless you get a stop gap CB signing like Toby A from spuds at 25m with a view to upgrading the following Summer, but then Skriniar / Koulibaly will have gone, De Ligt is already gone to Barca. Now look at the boards track record. Welcome to the forums, backinmay99.

i'd take the chance, we need a winger or two and it means Rashford can finally play in his natural position up front hopefully. Hudson-Odoi would be great for us as well, i'd imagine we could cash in on Sanchez perhaps so that would give us an option (i'm curious to see Marital play in a #10 role behind Lukaku, he did start life off as a second striker after all until he was forced to play wing).
Skriniar/Koulibaly (perhaps even both) should be the priority, none of our current CB's are leaders and none are world class (Bailly has potential, the rest are somewhere between good backups and hopeless).

If I where Woodward and Ole.
Ins: Skriniar (60-70 mill) (starting CB) Koulibaly (80 Mill) (other starting CB) Rabiot (replace Herrera, albeit in a different role) Milinkovic-Savic (replacement for Matic, again though, different role) Leon Bailey (replacement for Martial) Harry Kane (upgrade on Lukaku) Deli Alli (replacement for Pogba) maybe Sancho and/or Hudson-Odoi (depending on price) Ryan Sessengon (replacement for Young, long term competitor for Shaw, especially since they're going down and he may be cheaper) Aaron Wan-Bissaka (replacement for Valencia) Daniel Alves (backup RB and possibly mentor to Bissaka)
Out: Martial Pogba Herrara (confirmed) Mata (resign and sell him) Lukaku Smalling Jones Rojo Valencia (Confirmed i think) Young Matic

Let's face it you could upgrade every position in the entire squad but that's not going to happen in one window with this board. You need a minimum of 5 in to make a dent and try to arrest the slide and 7 to offer cover and flexibility, I'm not sure you'll get 3 with these fuckwits.
There's a nucleus of decent enough players there but we have no leaders and grafters, start there, whoever they sign has to be a mentally strong leader in that position and you'll start seeing headway. Ole knows this, as does Phelan, the board actually know it...
You could do it on the cheap to cover your ass for a few seasons, bring in Munier, Toby A and go for Neves, Rice, Sancho that would get you started. The left needs cover and competition so you could do that with Sessegnon. There are options out there if they are willing.

Seems we're close to signing Danny James from Swansea, along with everyone else. Type of signing we need by the looks of him
