So Real Madrid rejected 52.5 million for Morata. I'm sure he's absolutely thrilled by that (seriously, he was pissed off when he had to come back to Madrid as it is, i'm sure the idea of sitting on the bench behind Benzema instead of starting is riveting).
Some sources are quoting Ousmane dembele at 30 million, are they mad? If he is he should be target #1 for us.

What about our interest in Hirving Lozano? Cooled with the arrival of Mou? Had a great season again in Mexico! gone to Celta Vigo already i believe

Only seeing Sky Italy and Di Marzio's cronies reporting it so could well be bullshit. 52m is absurd to begin with, take it or feck off Madrid. 78m
The prices being banded about this window are ridiculous, mind you we started it spunking 90m on Pogba.

Morata is a typical Liverpool signing. Scored 11/15 goals against bottom half and 10/15 against bottom 5 of La Liga. Another Benteke...ok he's better with his feet but 52m my arse...
Looking at possible striker:
1st choice: Griezmann > set to stay due to transfer ban 2nd choice: Lukaku > set to rejoin chelsea
who comes next except Morata or even worse belotti?
Dybala: not available Mbabbé: Real Madrid bound, also far too expensive
So maybe Lacazette worth a try? I consider him at least better than Morata and Belotti
Or, let's look at proper wingers and trust Rashford & Martial as no9 (with Zlatan coming back in winter?)? If we signed for example Lucas Moura and Bale iso a striker could work as well.

Well unless some of them budge on these quoted prices then it'll be a very quiet window
Lukaku at 80 - 100m is taking the piss. One of the most hit and miss characters in the game. I don't want him anywhere for that price range. Morata and Kroos as part of a part ex + cash deal for DDG then yes. You can only score against the opposition you're brought off the bench for. But 52m is still taking the piss.

Seem getting more and more reality. For me he's a 10 goals a season striker in the prem, could easily have kept Chicharito then. Ok, different type of player but he will have to convince me that he's world-class. Nevertheless, from the day he is a United player he will have my full backing!

let him go i say. I like him but its way too much.
Rather go for a guy like Salah (beat Liverpool out) or Dembele (and beat Barca out) to get him and if they want 55/60 mill, we'd be better off going for the Bale's, Sanchez's and Reus's of the world and pay more and get a proper world class player (Bale especially, i'd imagine Real Madrid would sell him)
Also Rodriguez to Milan for 15 mill, would have sorted out left back for us (poorish form but his set pieces and his passing and crossing ability is world class). I mean we have Shaw but it would be good to get an actual LB (Darmian played well but he's no LB, Rojo we're better of having at CB).
Anyway Morata for 60 million would be a good signing if we're not able to get Lukaku, and he'd be cheaper than Lukaku (probably not quiet the goalscorer but offers more everywhere else). Amazed Juve aren't in for him to be honest.

Salah and Cuadrado do well in serie A but were crap in the PL! I don't expect Perisic to be any different. When signing from such weak leagues it must be a player in young age with the potential to be a top player. We should be careful with signings from weaker leagues. A player aged 28 must be absolutely word class if we sign him. Also belotti is far too risky for me, could be a one season wonder like Immobile and he seems als too limited in possesion.
A shame that Strootman got badly injured, he would be the perfect fit behind Pogba and Herrera in midfield. For a reasonable fee I might take that risk.

Perisic is a weird one, you can only assume that Jose has got something specific in mind for him, to fit a pattern / system of play, more squad addition and experience. Bloody expensive tho, but then, look at the market atm. Insane.

Well Perisic is a proper winger and there aren't too many of those about, also a very hard worker so maybe we can get an attacking left back who'll cross the halfway line without Mourinho having a breakdown. If Jose sticks with his conservative fullback then at least we'll have genuine width from the left. Not going to bring huge amounts of goals though so go two up top De Gea Valencia - Bailly - CB - LB Micky - Herrera/CM - Pogba - Perisic Morata - Rashford/Martial
Anyway as you say Mourinho definitely has a plan in mind, just have to wait and see who we sign to get a clearer idea.
