I can't remember when was the last time I saw such shit and cuntish team like Sunderland today. Someone like Bayern would put 12 at least past this lot today. Whatever, 3 points are deserved no matter of our obvious ineptness up front.

A sloppy first 20 but from then on pure dominance, a little disjointed in the final third but we'll get there eventually.

And yeah, Chris Smalling MOTM, closely followed by Rojo, for me. Young was good again so was Ander and Antonio. Edit: Falcao with an assist too.

To be fair, it took us 15min to get going, but after that it clicked and with a proper strikeforce we wold have put 10 past them.
It may look like a dull game, but the work of Blind and Herrera in midfield is excellent and we are only missing a solid box-to-box to get that central midfield to the next level. Tactically, it's actually not that easy to break us, as LVG has managed to set up a strong pressing from all areas that is starting to pay off. And we're (finally!!) much better with possession than we have ever been in a long, long time. We may not use that possession as well as we should, but that's still massive improvement from what we have known.
Yes, there are still individual erros, and some players are simply not good enough, but I am curious to see what LVG can do with that team if he can add a few more players to that core.
I believe we would already be much better and more clinical if we had an in-form and dynamic striker, and if Di Maria was pulling his finger out of his ass.

Blind had some stinkers actually and looked slow at times.

Yeah. Btw, I don't want to praise El Capitano, he'll become complacent.

Definitely a better performance than the last 2 games and a clean sheet on top, so I can't complain. Rojo was class today, I'm really happy with his progress and adaptation - he was defending well, helping Evans, pressing forward and even had a go at the keeper. No point in talking about Falcao or Di Maria today... right decisions by Van Gaal with the subs today.

30 shots, highest of the season? Only 10 on target though.
