It's definitely the expected clash of footballing cultures but look what happened at Alkmaaar: www.theguardian.com/football/2009/apr/20/eredivisie-az-alkmaar-dutch-footballSimilar deal will happen here. You got to bare in mind too that VG's hands are tied to getting that 3rd or 4th spot so he'll do anything to achieve that. If that means a relatively conservative, stagnant, boring 352 then that's exactly what he'll do until he can rectify things in the Summer. Can't really blame him if he's feeling the heat, he's found himself in a league like no other and is adjusting on the fly. If there's one manager out there who is up for the challenge and has the wit and imagination to pull it off it's Van Gaal, I wouldn't start flicking the chicken switch just yet.

City, Chelsea,Southampton and Spurs all going out and the scouse not beating Bolton eases the result a bit, get through and a good chance of winning the cup lays ahead.

We play Preston/Sheffield United if we beat Cambridge.
Big guns kept apart. Liverpool may have it tricky away to Palace if they beat Bolton

Oh no...We struggled against a league 2 side. Hence, we might get beaten by a league 1 team then.

Wouldn't surprise me. Have to admit that we are lucky to meet league 1 and 2 sides in all the cup competitions so far. ... maybe Bradford if we managed to clear the quarters and they clear theirs.
