Yeah hopefully it's not serious. Some saying it might only be a hamstring
Onto the game. Nothing we have not already seen before. Defence coped well and we created the usual chance or 2 and didn't take them allowing them back into in somewhat. Reverting then 2nd half to trying our desperate long range shots, poor passing thinking something magic will come off and poor crossing with little or no end product (till the end obviously)
No idea what the last set of substitutes were about. They nearly cost us the game.
I didn't see much too worry about in that Chelsea team. And that was including when Aubemyang and Sterling were on the pitch.
Chelsea played right into our hands by taking off their main threats and we turned down the offer.
This is exactly the issue we've had for years .
We went behind then and had them pinned into their box. This is called sustained pressure. We simply do not do that often enough. Where was that in the 2nd half??? All our attackers were gone off at that stage so again the book stops with them.
They would probably have cleared their lines if that was just our usual hit and hope efforts and pedantic build up. We seen it against Newcastle and the end too.
Not saying a team can dominate for a full 90 minutes, but playing in halves and quarters and where you are behind is not enough when you are not scoring goals
Leicester are bottom of the table and hardly have an abundance of talent but yet they've scored more goals in the league than us

Yes soccer is all about scoring goals. United teams of the past had the reputation that they would score more than the opposition come hell or high water. Now is a completely different kettle of fish.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a low key January striker signing

Probably just to remind the United fans that they're not robots as most the team were statuesque in the 2nd 45 and gave the fans fook all to shout about
Now if they played with that sort of tempo................................

Meanwhile Leicester rack up another 4 goal salvo today
Another observation I'm not liking came today from the Southampton v Arsenal. The same Arsenal being touted as the biggest challenger to City for the league title
Arsenal go 1 nil up and again like us take their foot off the gas thinking they can pass and defend their way to a 1-0 win. There's the odd 1-0 win here and there but today was just a complete piss take.
Jesus barely had anything up top to feed off.
This conservation football that has most certainly came in from the continent is not working to many teams strengths. If Arsenal had gone proper and pushed on for the 2nd goal they bag another handy 3 points.
RVN is at it too with PSV in Holland. I saw them the other night. They missed a golden opportunity missed against this Arsenal side which as proved today are not infallible.
I think it's just managers trying to overstate some sort of tactical genius that they have.
What the hell happened to going out and burying teams when the chance arrived instead of this letting teams sleep walk their way back into a contest

They're the teams that come away not blighted by injuries usually, that's why they do it, if you're a smaller team on limited resources makes sense.
It's certainly what EtH is doing to cover squad deficiencies here atm with so many games coming at them. Either that or the shit or bust route like Leicester

I have to laugh
The same thing is pretty much after happening to Spurs here too.
The onus is on a team like Spurs, but they had their one or 2 chances first half through Kane/Son. And this it's all hell breaks loose from them 2nd half
Surely if the approach doesn't work out from the start like it should, it's still going to end up costing you the same if not more work in the aftermath of it
Look at Liverpool last week. They've not being doing it week in week out so they empty the tank against City and then out of juice and ideas yesterday against Forest
They haven't been at the races this season so not sure where their injuries and out of form players has come from

Lloris cost Spurs 2 goals today in his pursuit of the team desperately trying to retain possession in their own half.
Its great when it works but terrible when it doesn't
