lol no it's not, you don't put your entire window on hold to go after a player, who you've no right going for, to come back with your tail between your legs with fuck all with the window closed, when you could have had Neves and Tielemans by week 2  FDJ you literally have to foul to get the ball off him - he dictates the tempo and play. He's exactly what they need and why they stopped the window to get him, problem is they didn't buy the rest of the transfer targets on the ETH list because of that fucking net spend - and it's now all in jeopardy |

In an ideal world yes. Control the midfield you control everything else. Look how long we've been taking to solve that problem
Yet and still, another of our goals today happened because one of our defenders could not take/place a pass from the start of an attack and it lead to a goal. Nothing to do with midfield

They obviously think FDJ is the short cut answer to that problem (and I kind of agree but others are available) and under a ETH, high line / high press system, you've altered the style of play completely which negates a lot of how we get attacked atm
ATM though they are doing a kamikaze crash and failing at everything the manager is telling them and reverting to what they did under Ole and then Ralf. The Glazers obviously want him as a coach to get the best out of them and forge a new path on the cheap - it's not happening with these players as Ralf told them and got sacked for, so ETH and everyone else will just have to ride it out till it gels or we get new players in to get what he wants.

Worse is to come. no matter what happens with FDJ. Two winnable games to start the season even when we are/were bad, should still be looking at a least 1 win anyway
It's not as if we had City and Liverpool
Now we'll have to play a containing job against Liverpool
I don't see any huge promise even with signing FDJ

He's not an instant cure-all but he's a massive piece in the midfield puzzle and had we bought him at the start of the window we would be in a much healthier position than watching today's shit continue on from last season
