He helped them out by defering his wages for two years with them saying he'd get it all back during the remainder of his contract (17m worth) Now Barca HAVE to get rid of the most expensive lowest hanging fruit, which is FDJ. Barca do not want to pay him what he is owed so he is sitting tight (quite rightly so) - so at this point it is going to court all day, every day and on Sunday.
Me? Now? I'd call Barca's bluff and I'd move on to the original targets and pray they don't get fleeced for Neves and Tielemens (they will).

If ronaldo leaves we need a like for like replacement , which Antony is not and strikers are in short supply. We need Anthony anyway for the right side irrespective
The later you leave it with Ajax when they've already sold their quota of players they want to sell the more you will pay - after FDJ I don't see united stumping up the cash Ajax will demand.
They've already paid 10m over what Martinez is worth

Ronaldo's head is gone. He's gone in spirit regardless of what ETH is saying.
It will be harder for him to command a deal now than any of the players we are targetting

Ronaldo can strop all he wants but if he wants out he better lower his wages so someone can buy him and do it well in advance of deadline day so we get a replacement None of which sounds remotely doable atm  |

Apparently ETH is going to sit and wait for FDJ till he signs - so you could be going into a new season with exactly the same midfield as last year - he's that adamant he wants him.
