Gerrard needs putting in his box, I'll be pissed if he's got anything other than frowny face.
Think you'll see a response...........

Going to need massive games from Bruno, Greenwood Rahford and Cavani
Our defence is in lap of the gods.
Villa at full strength

You've got two wide forwards as wingers who are always going to look to get a shot off at goal rather than actually get the ball to a central striker or Bruno AND you've got two central midfielders only capable of concentrating on that job and not delivering the ball effectively to the four in front. That's why there's no real service. Rashford NEEDS having a word with and telling to slow the fuck down and take a look around, play a simple option for once. Greenwood the same but he's literally learning that role on the job. Bruno needs to be an 8 not a 10. McFred aren't good enough to base that tip of the spear on - which we already know. Restructure central midfield so it distributes the ball out wide and centrally effectively. Easiest way to do that is put a cdm in there and that frees up the options you've got there already. That requires you buying someone.

Them problems aren't going to fixed in a transfer window, not even 2, Hell maybe not even 3 windows.
Ronaldo starting games was an issue when he wasn't getting service and all this ##### and nothing coming from midfield.
He was going to provide little else and so lack of service to him and him getting in a huff more or less had us down to 10 men.
We can't afford that luxury to all our other attacking players just now. Sometimes you're going to have square pegs in round holes. That's just a fact of life.
If service to them wasn't great, yeah which it wasn't, what did any of them try to do to stop Villa setting out on their attacks???
They just bypassed most of our team
So if there was no service upfront what exactly were they doing??? Can't have it both ways

You could significantly improve your chances with an immediate CDM, it's not a 'cure-all' but it gives you the edge to get top four. Zakaria for 5m does not interfere with Summer spending plans because you can get your money back for him if needed.
McFred are working overtime to even contain energetic, organised midfields - they aren't good enough to do two jobs at once because they can't do one. And neither one is a CDM. Sure, they can cover ground but that's it. Greenwood and Rashford don't help because neither really tuck in and help them out because neither of them are real wingers (Giggs).
Pull Bruno back a bit, make him more of an 8. Sancho makes things easier he's got some craft and guile about him, replace Rashford for a while because he's struggling mentally and needs resting and a sports shrink.
And you've put a plaster on it till Summer - which will be monstrous.

Absolutely. There's no quick fix for these issues. I know I said 3 windows, but when you look at it, we signed Bruno this time last year and with the way he started for us he looked like the saviour. But 1 man was never going to solve it
That's 3 windows gone there in a heartbeat and can we say with any real conviction that out from him there's been any real standout signings. S
If we keep talking about these achilles heels of ours whoever we get has to hit the ground running. I'm not convinced but we will just have wait and see
All these players are going to be another year older as well

Absolutely. There's no quick fix for these issues There is, they could do it in one window if they wanted, astute squad investment and paying the dead wood off getting them off the books. But you know the problem there.

Easier said than done. Comes back management of egos here again.
In the table, there's currently Arsenal, West Ham and Spurs all above us in the table. Nobody can tell me that these have better squads than ours.
Can't complain with the level of investment post Ferguson. There's where the trick is. It's been the superstar names that everyone wanted (me included) that we've been after in the transfers and it hasn't worked.
Nothing to lose by changing approach. There's only Mbappe, Salah and Messi that can break our bank anyway
