With the favourable match plan, are we happy with 13/15 points? I'd say no and Soton should be beat!
If you win H & A against the bottom half, get 3 points out of the 2 games against top 6 teams, and 4 points off the teams placed 7-10th you get 91 points. Exactly the average points of the champions of the last 10 seasons. 91 points made you champion 6/10 times.
So we should have beat Soton or have to get more points from top half teams now.

He should also tell him about a RW, a CM, and a DM to sign and to offload the deadwood FFS!
Get up your arse Ed and do what is necessary.
We're fuck ed!

Given he stays, we probably face an old question of his best position. Not because this is questionalbe but Ole seems to prefer a 4-2-3-1 without the free role on the left as a no. 8.
I'd say, if we get him reliable with defensive responsibilities, for example like he showed for France at the WC, he is definately better for us at the midfield base than as no. 10.
Give him a defensively strong partner in midfield, so he doesn't lose his creativity. Get a proper no. 10 in who shars the burden to create in the final third. So he can initiate attacks but still arrive in the box.
As we finally seem to be a pressing side and stay further up the pitch, the way into the box will be shorter for him from that midfield base that it was for example under the moaning one's defensive bullshit!

firstly I don't want Pogba to be replaced. We lacked a CM before Herrera left. So bring 2 in to replace Herrera / Fellaini. With or without Pogba, the question is what will Ole play?
4-3-3 with Pogba on left means 2 CM and DM behind. With players like Eriksen, woho is no. 10 it would have to be a 4-2-3-1 with 1 CAM and 2 DM behind. I would love Eriksen anyway, but in the same tem with Pogba could be difficult. Similar situation with Fernandes. In any case a more defensive minded midfielder should be added to the squad.

And another one:
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly identified two Ligue 1 strikers as potential replacements for Romelu Lukaku.
The Evening Standard say United have watched Lyon’s Moussa Dembele and are among a host of clubs to enquire about Lille forward Nicolas Pepe.
We are lacking a proper RW for ages and need to seel a striker first to consider a deal for a winger? WTF is this? Get one signed you fool, Ed!

Fucking hate those Glazers and Ed, no Ndombele, no Tielemans and Herrera gone.. still this:
#mufc have informed Saul Niguez's camp about their interest. The club see him as Pogba's replacement. He has a €150m release clause #mulive [as, @sport_Witness]
Why the fuck do we need to sell another midfielder to get him? Show some ambition and pair him with Pogba and a proper CDM! Just let us spend the money this club generates on transfers!
Then Ed telling us he can only negiotiate one deal after the other. What a fucking dabbler!
LUHG!
We need 2 midfielders, a right winger , a top-class centre-back and right-back.
RB is done with AWB.
Get Saul and Tielemans for midfield!
Get one of Sancho/Lozano/Pepe in for right wing.
CB is difficult, maybe Skriniar fits the bill, everyone else linked doesn't convince me apart from De Ligt who is gone to Juve. Definately not Maguire, not even for half the money mentioned. He's too slow and will be exposed and overrun in a modern pressing game. Rather take Toby for a year or two to bridge time till we find a one that fits, which is usually not my preference to get 30 year olds in, but at 25m it is worth it.
Everything below this is a fucking joke.

no matter what happens on deadline day, whether Meesi joins Real or not, this is the best deal that could happen. He's not only gone, we get even money for him!

We played well or at least in the right way, attitude was also good. It was just down to some moments like Pereira's mistake and Rashford's big chance. If he scores that we hammer them 4-0.
I agree with Ole we should have played it more short and quick. Too many useless crosses in the box. No matter how desperate you try, don't lose your head. We played to their strength with those crosses.

I mean I don't expect him to make it at United but he is from our academy so give him a chance on loan. If he doesn't surprise us then the contract extension at least means we can sell him for some money later.

Will be interesting to see so how he reacts to being behind or how his team reacts to losing a game. On one side I hope he doens't lose at all till summer but on the other side to really judge if he has it to be our permanent manager, it would give a clearer picture

Fellaini, Rojo and Valencia to follow soon hopefully. Darmian hasn't done anything wrong here really, he's just not good enough. Pretty sure he will be decent for Juve. Proper squad player for them. Good luck for him.

agree, everything is about the next summer window. I like Neves, but 100m would certainly be very much for him. But then again its about who offers more value for money? With Neves it is not about what level he is today but rather which heights he can get to with only being 21 now (22 soon).

Not too many world-class and ready CB's out there available. I prefer Skriniar. If we can't get him I'd settle with Toby. Not convinced by Koulibaly, to moften on the floor tackling... Despite age and us being desperate for an instant improvement, I remain keen on de Ligt, what a talent he seems to be, even if we have to wait 1-2 seasons to see him adapating to the PL.
Then we need a RW, prefrebaly Sancho but think BVB will not let him go, so I turn to Lozano.
Neves for CM would be my 3rd signing. Trippier would be my 4th an final signing. Dalot needs a bit more time which he can bridge. Dalot will callenge both, Shaw and Trippier for a starting place then.
So for me next summer:
CB: Skriniar RW: Sancho (or Lozano) CM: Neves RB: Trippier

Spurs was a real test and I think he passed it well. Had the tactics spot on first half. Not sure if he could have done better to react to Spurs 2nd half approach, because Spurs are such a good side, but we let them have far too many scoring chances. Looking forward to more tests. I think by end of march we have a better picture if has the tactical nouse to be our permanent manager.
