It is peculiar, more than a pinch of salt still needed though.

I'd take all the names out of the article and ignore them, but I think we're more than likely to see big money going out again. Strootman is the only player I can say for sure we're nailed on to try for.

Yeah I think we'll make some big money signings but that many? I don't think so.. we'd have to offload a few players to bring in that many names.

yeah, that's strange... I actually don't doubt it though. Looking through our upcoming accounts, I see no reason why we wouldn't be able to afford that sort of expenditure every other summer for the foreseeable future- contingent upon CL qualification

There's no doubting we can afford it but whether we need so many signings is a different matter. They're talking about a combined total of 6/7 players, unless there's mass sales in the summer I don't see how we fit that many players into the squad.

Well I think we'll see the fringe players moved on, but first team players being sold- I don't know... maybe Rafa, Young, a CB, Fletcher, Fellaini, Mata, Carrick (contract)? I really don't know what LVG has planned, but that's Nani, Anderson, Chicha, Clevs, Henriquez, Powell, Keane, Lindegaard, plus maybe a couple more that could leave.

I think making Carrick captain over van Persie on Tuesday showed he's still a part of the plan. I do tend to worry about Rafa's future right now.
Young has no future as a winger but if he can carry on at left back the way he's done in the last few weeks then he could be cover there. I think we're likely to get new cover there though, plus a right back and a midfielder, then I think Falcao will be made permanent. So depending on whether you class that as a signing or not seeing as he's already here, that's 4 straight off.
A new back up keeper and a new centre half are likely as well.

I see a centre back being signed but we have a load there already so one will have to be moved on, I don't think 1 of Jones, Evans, Smalling, Rojo will be happy being a 4th, 5th or even 6th choice centre back if 2 new cb's are being brought in as some papers are saying.
Cm is the same, we have Blind, Carrick, Herrera, Fletcher, Fellaini and even Mata and Di Maria depending on which formation we play, 1 or 2 of those will need to be moved on. Back up keeper if Lindegaard moves on but if rumours are to be believed Valdes is already being lined up for that position.
We've got 4 strikers, Falcao isn't a certainty to stay especially if these niggling injuries continue and Van Persie is clearly in decline. Then there's the likes of Hernandez and Henriquez to come back from loan. I could see a few of those being moved on so we could potentially find ourselves in the market for another striker but I think Falcao will prove himself in the second half of this season.
Then we've got the full back positions, right back is the only position I think we need a new first choice player or at least someone good enough to truly compete with Rafa, we require a back up left back which in turn could see Young and Reece James moved on.
Including all the guys out on loan we have a pretty large pool of first team players, I feel the summer of 2015 is going to be the most hectic we've ever seen in terms of outgoings and it will have to be if we're bringing in these 6/7 players that are being mooted.
