October's player of the month Diafra Sakho, 24, has to play another 12 games before picking up a new deal worth around £10million at West Ham. Gus Poyet has admitted Sunderland could lose £8million striker Connor Wickham for next to nothing in the summer. Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel, 21, says he has decided to stay with Milan for the season, rather than head back to his parent club in January.

Arsene Wenger has refused to throw in the towel in the title race despite Arsenal sitting nine points behind Chelsea. Samuel Eto'o has been giving Romelu Lukaku personal tuition at Everton. Yannick Sagbo is set to return to Hull just six weeks into a three-month loan.
daily express
Liverpool are set to make a £30million bid for Arsenal target and Porto star Jackson Martinez in January. Nemanja Vidic could be in line for a sensational return to Manchester United on a free transfer in the summer after failing to impress at Internazionale.

Aston Villa chairman Randy Lerner will not sell England midfielder Fabian Delph or Netherlands stopper Ron Vlaar in the next transfer window despite their contracts expiring in June. Gary Neville has backed Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers and says it is the players and not the manager who should be criticised.
daily star
Manchester United are planning a January swoop for Monaco left-back Layvin Kurzawa. Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are all eager to land Sporting Lisbon's £37m defensive midfielder William Carvalho in January and were recently handed a boost as it was reported that the Portuguese club were willing to cash in. Manchester United have opened talks with Monaco about signing 22-year-old left-back Layvin Kurzawa - also a target for Chelsea - for £12m in January. Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is planning to recall Nani to Old Trafford in January after the winger's excellent form for Sporting Lisbon.

David Moyes was in Spain last night in talks with Real Sociedad about becoming the La Liga club's next manager. Swansea expect star striker Wilfried Bony to extend his contract to at least 2018 over the weekend.
the guardian
Striker Robin van Persie has said he was surprised by Sir Alex Ferguson's departure from Manchester United and says he is not satisfied with his performances under new manager Louis van Gaal.
i think thats a lie about RVP, unless he really wants to be sold in january, and should sell nani to be honest. capitalise now and sell him (with di maria, mata and januzaj he would be on the bench anyway)use him to get carvalho (obviously if strootman doesn't come in january) i would take vidic back, but i don't know if i want him starting next year (obviously if he came in right now, he's a given to start, but in january, surely LVG goes and buys a quality CB) Eto'o signing for everton was a big coup for them, if he is teaching lukaku and it turns out well. lukaku will be one of the best strikers in the world

Good luck to him. He was never a bad manager as such, just chronically out of his depth at a club this size with the mentality of its fans.
He should do well at Sociedad where he's back at an Everton equivalent in Spain. The annoying thing is though that they're currently in a false position because of a poor start, they're better than they're currently showing, so it is inevitable that Moyes will improve results there. And when that happens, I just can't be arsed with the deluge of morons that will start saying United have made a mistake.

Probably not, not speaking English didn't hinder Pochettino though. Just a case of learning as quickly as he can and having a good translator in the meantime.

I'm joking, that shouldn't be a problem even if he can't.
I don't understand any sort of affinity to him, it's not like he set us up on light in his time here. It'll be interesting to see how he fares there though.

Yeah that's my problem as well, wait for Sky comparing his first 10 games for them with LVG's first 10 for us and other such pointless and meaningless stats aimed at trying to convince morons that we shouldn't have sacked him. All that being said I hope he does well, seems like a nice bloke who is a good manager at the right club.
